Parry shen did an interview on the abc in depth website and he has mentionned that he has had more airtime with RyC than with the guy who calls himself an actor playing felix. So it seems that the show is gearing towards building the Lads relationship which im all greatful for.

After reading his interview i have come to love PaSh even more than i did before. He is truly an amazing actor and quite a charming person in real life. I feel he has a lot to do with adding layers to what started as a non character.i think marc samuel will likely be written off soon as i dont see the character taking off in spite of adding an annoying sister and a possible love interest he has no chemistry with.

Its getting harder and harder to know who is on contract and who isnt on that show. Yesterday i think two big storylines played out with 3 characters out of four being on recurring.

And yet the three EX-livers get contracts and are shoved down our throat anhilating any interest i may have in the show.

And they give Natty mcWoody a contract even though he wouldnt act his way out of a paper bag if he had a flashlight and a map but do not sign a returning actor who plays a legacy character borne on screen with a gazillion ties to the entire canvas? In what universe does that make sense?

One thing I really like about FV is his contract policies and how even if you are not on contract he will find a way to make you an going concern. I don't think Ian Buchanan is a contract actor but there is almost no difference between his role in the Jerome story and MB's at this point, or FH. And Kin Shriner isn't on contract but his character now has a job, a son and an affair, which is a lot more than certain contract roles have. I don't think Dr O is a contract role either, and that doesn't seem to be a lesser role we may never see again. I am confident Lucas will be a going concern for the show or they never would have brought him back.

Julian is going to have issues with his son being gay? The show is better set up a who killed jillian "mystery" soon cuz i need the heffer off my screen.

And i put mystery in quote cuz a real mystery would presume i would give a rats ass about who killed him.

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
