I didn't think it was creepy. I did think it took up too much time in an already OTT episode full of stupid stories, and that the kids could barely deliver their lines. Spencer was funny and cute, but he's not an actor and he shouldn't have had that much. Emma is cute in doses but annoying when they try to make her too active. I hate it when she turns into a fawning, mugging joke machine.

All I could think is about how GL handled Rachel Miner, Bryan Buffinton, and Gregory Burke when they were child actors, and how hard the show worked to keep everything believable.

Now it's all just CAMP CAMP ONE LINERS CAMP CAMP CAMP.

No.

the stuff yesterday was too grown IMO. Spencer getting in an expensive bath robe for Emma and all that fighting between the two boys was a bit much.

I remember people feeling the same way on AMC about Emma, AJ and Miranda. Thank god the show never tried to write a love triangle around those 7 year olds

Every now and then a show finds a child actor who really has the chops to be frontburner. GL was blessed with those kids. I'd say the Aldersons were that way on OLTL. But even then the shows usually have the sense to have the child play off adults not try to make a full blown kiddie scene with their own stories. Usually the point of a teen scene has been to try and attract teen viewers over the summer. I don't understand what RC is trying to accomplish here. Is he going for the much coveted single-digit viewer? Does he think there's some underserved audience craving to see a love triangle between children?

The children should be supporting the adults' storylines not having one of their own. They should be mainly interacting with the adults.

I wonder if this episode was taped the day TR decided to go to Y&R. We hadn't seen him or Mac in a minute and their first couple scenes are them "supporting" Emma in her little storyline. That would have made me leave too LOL

    • March 27, 2025 - GH Sherilyn Wolter (Celia Quartermaine) visited Emma Samms (Holly Sutton Scorpio).  They are friends in real life.
    • Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it.  And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets

) continue to be on the case. Kevin, revealing everything to them is another interesting turn in this storyline. Plus, it seems the writing has improved for Shawn as well.
    • TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
    • You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.

    • "Might" is not "is". And I was talking about the specific case about her attitude to Eva.
    • But she can still be a priveliged elitist. She might have the same attitude to anyone from 'the wrong side of the tracks' whether they had an agenda or not. Nicole seems to be an outlier in her family. Her parents, kids and sister seem to think themselves above reproach.
    • Damian's clothes have definitely been a specific look -kinda reads 70's pimp to me . I guess it's a trend?? but it seems more suited to Holden. JR is 51  and I guess Damian is supposed to be a little younger but it looks a little odd on him in my book. But at least they're trying. The men's clothing has been bland/generic for years-either suits or basic casual stuff interchangeable  b/w them.
