I don't know if she is the best but Maura West deserves the praise. Her Ava performance is so full of unrealistic life the crime is she isn't filmed in b/w or allowed to smoke as she slinks around the way all good villainesses used to as they manipulated men.

There are only four remaining network soaps and about twelve people who listen to each other and recirculate the same air about those four soaps. This list is boring and unsurprising.

Debbi got a shout out, yaye, but otherwise, yawn. Ron did a tweet apparently saying he was upset that GH *tied* and followed it with a (I paraphrase) Just kidding, we are honoured to be in such great company!

DAYS isn't that good. It's just that the other shows are that bad.

Well Days is a lot better than it was the last few years

Days deserved the best soap title.

GH did not.

The actors they picked were fine choice, but I would have named others. Elieen Davidson, Jason Thompson, Becky herbst, Greg Vaughan.

no it is that good. Days has consistently been must see tv all year. While not perfect, it had more ups than downs and one I truly found entertaining. It wasn't only good in comparison

What Cheap said.

While it has retained its occasional cartoonishness and featured a truly horrible couple, it has been entertaining throughout, has clearly demonstrated the effects of long-term storyline planning, has been able to go from A storyline to A storyline flawlessly while still remembering to build character moments and good relationships, its cast is energetic and sells the stories, it created two wonderful next generation characters and introduced them with stories that fulfilled their potential and created tons more. Among other things (like not being afraid to take its time with slow pacing).

And can I say how great it is to see Meredith Scott Lynn on there? She deserves recognition. They fact that they created such an awesome supporting character is added to the list of positives as well.
