Thursday:

Felix, you drama queen! Sabrina's just being dramatic, she hasn't disappeared. And Patrick just applies some pressure and Felix spills? Great best friend rolleyes.gif

Now that I've seen Carlos shirtless, I'm cured of my attraction. Just... no.

Wow, I almost felt something for Sonny when he was talking about the night Lily died. Please slap me. But how lame is this: If they're related, he'll spare him. If not, he won't. Brilliant writing right there.

I enjoyed Robin and Anna's scenes, although there wasn't nearly enough astonishment and warmth and shock at what has happened. But I agree with Anna... Patrick couldn't have just turned to Sabrina and told her to take a hike, although that would probably have been a classic scene. Classic.

Maxie wants to kill herself? Here, have some more pills, bitch! I could not stand her "acting" throughout. Really terrible. And, seriously, she can't control herself so she just wants to die? I really hope we're not meant to feel sympathy for her. Georgie's appearance carried emotional weight and it was lovely when Robin sensed her. And I liked how we heard the suicide note while Maxie was settling down, although the contents of the note itself were horrible. She can't even write a proper suicide note!

Of course Patrick shows up as soon as Carlos and Sabrina kiss. If it ends them an episode sooner, good!

LMAO! Love it, YRBB!!!!!

Maxie's scenes were an obvious plot point joke! I only watched Francly scenes today, but I am about to watch the rest. Maxie and Robin? Let me go get some coffee so I can keep awake - hell, I'm not even a coffee drinker, but sometimes I make exceptions.

If it was me I'd pivot Robin towards her own affair with Nikolas, maybe a year or nine months down the line. But I think you have to give Scrubs real time together first.

I thought Maurice was actually good when he talked about Lily - the bit where he corrects himself and said he was drinking that night but she wasn't was very real, and I suspect it was ad-libbed. Of course I saw that episode again for the first time since junior high when they showed it on SN in the spring, and the memory is vivid. MB is a much weaker actor than he used to be, but I will give him credit for acknowledging his changed role on the show under the new regime and giving it his full commitment, even if he's often not very good.

Did y'all notice they made a point to say he was subletting Milo's apartment?

What a pity we were spared the major Milo/Amnesia Lulu storyline of the summer due to negative feedback. Although it apparently would've involved the similarly scrapped Deception stuff, which is why he finally quit working for Sonny.

:D

THIS. That's what got me and almost made my stony hard melt. It was a truthful, honest moment of the sort we almost never see anymore.

That's what I kept thinking... there was NO reason for him not to be wearing that black t-shirt from the beginning. And a "muscle" with no muscles? How would he even win in a physical altercation with Sean? Poor Jerome is screwed.

Friday:

God... we went from Carlos and Sabrina kissing to Franco and Carly... from one disgusting kiss to the next! I liked the chocolate scene... I thought the dialogue there worked. But then they did all the innuendos about Carly being stuffed, the stress relief, all just too icky and unsexy and disgusting. You can just imagine Carlivati fapping at the thought of Roger Howarth filling up somebody.

Robin managed to make Maxie so much more likable. I laughed SO hard at the slap. Wish she had repeated it a few more times. "You're not going to slap me are you?" laugh.png

I've noticed them doing this many times and it was certainly done in this episode as well: I hate how they keep referencing past events in a very direct, loud and almost joking way: "My father was killed in a shoot out." "Yeah, well, MY father raped five virgins and climaxed on top of a mountain." All these characters are walking around, talking about their various soapy lives almost as if they're making fun of them and it really does sound ridiculous when you lay it all out. On top of that, the actors aren't even trying to act out the fact that it's all ridiculous--they just mouth off the list and move on. Sigh. I don't know if I'm making any sense but, when recounting history, it's always safe to be subtle.

I thought Sean Kanan looked gorgeous, but could that courtroom be any emptier? On top of that, his trial was more about everyone else than him. He almost seemed like an extra lmao

Surprised there is no connection between Carlos and Lily and that it was all found out so quickly. I expected them to drag it out. Guess Carlivati needs some exciting soapy action! Cue the shoot-out and Sabrina crying uncryingly by his bed, leading to oral sex and the start of their reunion. (Barf)

Random question, but has Sabrina actress had botox? Her forehead is ridiculously rigid, flat and shiny. It never moves. I spent most of her scenes just staring at it, transfixed. And I'm not understanding Patrick's racist remarks, although I enjoyed the (badly staged) punch.

Nice cliffhanger, though.

I. Can't. Breathe........

Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.
