Y&R: Return!

I could see him on something like The Originals or Tomorrow People.

The Tomorrow People sucks as it is.

His resume does not list dates so casting directors would not have know if he was currently on a soap during auditions. They would just look at it as another past gig.

Have any of his pilots been picked up? Because if not, he has not gotten a regular role. I think Graz has a shot, but it might or might not happen right away. And for many people it does take years.

His ABC pilot did not get picked up yet they gave him a role on Agents of Shield and he's now on another pilot. That's pretty good for an actor get consistently hired like that.

I suspect it's part Jill and equal parts Sony. But Sony is apparently very gunshy about upsetting the apple carts of any couples they perceive as "popular" (Billy and Victoria, Lily and Cane). Seems like their need to make Jill slash the budget even further outweighed their desire for the fanbase approval, though.

The CW? The place of beautiful, young people with perfectly sculpted bodies...nah!

He wouldn't have to be in a lead role. I could see him playing a smarmy villain, or someone's crazy brother or father.

The hard-body stuff tends to be more hype than reality anyway, outside of some of the shows like Arrow.

Again, you are making my point. All that most soap actors hanging on to their daytime jobs can do is get primetime guest roles. Graziadi had to leave and audition full time before he got a shot at those pilots and who knows if they get picked up. He might have to audition tons more before getting a regular role or he can get one tomorrow.

I have no idea how this competition you are creating between Graz and BM has anything to do with the point that I was making.

You missed my point...he was "on contract" with Y&R getting these roles. I an not creating a competition, just pointing out that what you claim about getting roles with a pedigree of soaps is not necessarily true...

Now JFP has sent everyone the message that there is only one diva in Genoa City and it's Steve Burton!

I could see him on Revolution too. No one bathes on that show, and they do a lot of face-smushy acting to hide lack of talent. Hell, he might be one of the better talents on there.

I agree that Y&R didn't have to keep him on. That was their choice and he didn't screw them over.

JFP, or perhaps Sony working through her, seem much less willing to go along with this now. I hope this puts some of the others on notice, if Stafford's exit already didn't.

Apparently miller thought he was more valued than Stafford...she is a woman after all and we know how the industry treats the women, especial those over a certain age. But nope...maybe MM will get his ego in check.

Which show is lacking in hard bodies?

I dobut Tom is any more or less then BM. They probably just got tired of BM's contract games.

It's more which shows don't have their guys taking off their shirts very often. I don't watch a lot of the CW but there are a few. Supernatural, for one.

I guess this has gone way off topic. I'm sorry.

Glad you clarified because I can't see BM as lead on any of those shows. They all seem to be of the same type. Now as a supporting. I could see it. They do like the comic relief over there and BM is good at that.

David Tom has been gone ten years, has a rocky history and hasn't worked that much. They're not shelling out the cash for him. They most likely are paying him barely above the newbies.
