Tamara was one of those characters who had a big intro (living isolated in the desert of the Northern Territory), followed by big plots (kidnaping and amnesia, flip-flopping between Casey & Kyle), who then drifted aimlessly for a while as TPTB tried to figure out what to do with her (have her temp go blind!). She had no family ties or strong friendships at all, and could no longer feasibly hop on the merry-go-round for another redeaux with Casey and Kyle (who have all moved on), so her exiting seems logical. Maybe it worked out for the best, considering Kelly stated that she gets bored easily and wouldn't have stayed around for long anyway (obviously).
