Hehe.

But it's so true. It's all for plot. Even though he's terrible, Ron KNOWS what he's doing. Which bugs me all the more. He could probably tell a normal, good (well, at this point, I'm starting to doubt that) storyline. If he wanted to. Instead he's stuck in some bizarre fan built universe in his head.

Oh, and Shawn is laughable as a character. Which is a real shame that Ron has zero interest in him. No one has any idea what to do with him and he and Alexis remain sexless and unappealing. Which again is a real shame.

I can't take Carly's head bob and seething and finger pointing and teeth gnashing. Laura, please calm down.

Well you know Ron is as subtle as a trainwreck when it comes to how much he favors the OLTL3. It took him less than a month to have all back in the same orbit they were previously in by using the most contrived and blatant way posibble.. I also feel like I'm watching rehashed OLTL dialogue and I'll bet Carly and Todd 2.0 will have slept together by the end of the next month.

I don't even like Carly but I have to roll my eyes at this BS with Olivia now Carly is about to be hated for inadvertently getting Olivia shot and Fran.... Todd will be self-righteous about it. Not to mention I'm sure Sonny will berate Shawn like one of his b-tches tomorrow.

Eric,

I know I usually call Craptini, inept, stupid, morons, etc. I now want to take this opportunity to amend that. While they are still inept, I will give them credit for being clever. Quite clever to be perfectly honest. You have Carly, Sonny, Konnie and FrankenTodd in one room, and Carly is the worst out of the bunch? TWITter was lit up today, and almost every [a few decided not to check their intelligence at the door] poster talked about how smart FrankenTodd was and that he was on to Carly and she needs to pay for this.

Now, while I knew peeps would buy the retcon and welcome Tweety with open arms, I didn't imagined it would be this soon. Hats off to Craptini! I give them props for knowing their audience better than the audience knows themselves! Bravo!

I'm in awe...

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
