I actually appreciated seeing Rob Wilson do something other than moon over Little Miss Guardian. Let the Hayward v. Cortlandt war begin.

Watch, David will be Celia's guardian...just you wait.

David would never be so absent in the life of someone he held "guardianship" over...

that's right.. it must be someone else

maybe Dimitri Marick???

Maybe he got duped into one of those "adopt-a-third-world-orphan" situations and believes he's financing a Nigerian boy....and Evelyn is some kind of "guardianship pimp", scamming money off poor innocent rich people.

Hey, I can dream.

There was a scene that he was trying to exhort money from her while she remarked that he certainly was like his father LOL I[.quote]

When wasn't he extorting money out of her? Early August 2002, Pete first extorts his future nanny:

Petey: Got to the second level in, like, the fastest time ever.

Kendall: Well, you were a good teacher. You know, he has a lot of patience.

Petey: You're better at this than any of the kids at camp.

Kendall: Well, you are so sweet. I've always wanted a little brother just like you.

Petey: You want to play again tomorrow?

Kendall: Well, I'm not sure if your mom and dad would approve.

Opal: That is true.

Palmer: Actually, I have a proposition for you.

Opal: You can't be thinking what I think you're thinking.

Palmer: My ex-wife here -- well, turns -- the custody -- she requires that I have a nanny present during my visits with Peter, so if you would like to have a job --

Opal: Petey -- Petey, look what I see over there, the ice cream truck. Wouldn't an ice cream cone taste good right about now?

Kendall: Come on; let's go get some ice cream.

Opal: This is not what I meant by adequate supervision when I signed that agreement. I will not let you hire that she-devil as my son's nanny!

Palmer: Yes. Well, you see, the terms in the agreement do not give you a choice. Now, if you would like to reopen the divorce decree and your outrageous financial agreement, I'll be happy to do so.

Opal: No judge would ever favor an old man who conjugates with criminals over the boy's own mother.

Palmer: I know a lot of judges. And as you said, the boy needs to spend more time with his father.

Opal: You wouldn’t.

Palmer: Try me. What'll it be, Opal? I'll see you in court?

Kendall: Nice job, Petey. That water balloon was a very nice touch.

Petey: Cough it up, sis.

Kendall: Ahem.

Kendall: You know, you really are your father's son.

Oh my god i LOVED the redheaded kid. I think there might have been some overlap with him- I remember him being on early in Alicia Minshew's tenure, which would have been roughly the same time as the end of Vanessa/Leo. But I think he was also around for awhile after Vanessa went over the falls.

Definitely overlap. He was definitely there for Michael and the beginning of Fusion after Vanessa's fall in the falls.

Maybe Cassandra and Jesse have dual amnesia because he is not her father. I hope it's just the characters using shorthand and not the writers actually thinking they're father and daughter.

It's definitely shorthand. Her last name is still Foster. It's not a rewrite. For the sake of the story, it seems that Jesse and Cassandra burried the hatchet and got over their differences.

I remember Cassandra mentioning that her step father was chief of police, so it seems like the writers are aware of some of those connections.

Yeah, I still remember little Mitchel Federan as Petey. He was a screaming queen even then. He's a choreographer now.

Great episode. The show's just been firing on all cylinders, particularly in the last several weeks. I loved the stuff with Joe and Angie, and Brooke and David. Pete and Celia are finally getting some layers and Rob Wilson just plays this stuff to the hilt. Wonderful, wonderful show.

Really? That's beyond perfect considering that James Mitchell was a dancer.

I worry about you.

You're grouchy. (Though your rave of Tyler Perry's show did make me worry a bit about you, myself ;) )

I'm not! I'm a very nice happy person. I just mess with Vee because he's just so in love with these shows. It's adorable.

The Have and The Have Nots was better in it's two episodes than these shows have been in a month of episodes. ::shrug::
