Maybe they can get Jan "Pink Wig" Crouch to guest star as BC's new girlfriend.

I either vote for them to introduce Opal's cousin played by Dorothy Lyman named Ruby or have Verla come back as the new GF.

Or both.

If Billy Clyde truly has found "the Lort," then I hate they didn't make him a Baptist preacher. Talk about a pimp in the pulpit.

For some reason it makes me think of former rapist Alec D'Urbervilles becoming an evangelical preacher in Tess of the D'Urbervilles (of course he falls prey to "lust" again and is murdered...) But I suppose I shouldn't hope for Thomas Hardy allusions on this show.

Opal mentioned a cousin named Pearl in the early 2000s. I think Jill Larson was on vacation IRL, because I remember Opal left Pine Valley and explained her absence by saying she was visiting her cousin, Pearl, somewhere down South.

I hope they introduce people from her side.

Matt Cowles looks better today than he did a few years ago. The man has lost some weight.

I am so happy to have him back. I hope Dr. Joe gives hima piece of his mind.

Her son, Adrian, could always return. I don't know how popular that would be, though. I liked the character & actor OK.

He didn't die, did he? Opal NEVER mentions him. LOL

No, he moved to Arizona to care for his father, Fred Dawson. I would welcome the return of Adrian, and the role is easily recastable.

I think even Thomas Pynchon allusions would be asking for too much.

Opal's mother, Lurene, had three daughters: Opal, Pearl and Ruby. (Of course I'm making that up.)

More about the daughters Frazier:

* Opal (Jill Larson) was her daddy, Willie's, favorite. She inadvertently caused a permanent wedge between him and Lurene, who left the family when she couldn't take anymore his spoiling their oldest child.

* Pearl (Dorothy Lyman) always felt overshadowed by the more sophisticated and glamorous (!) Opal. She loved Ray Gardner first; however, Opal took him away in order to get away from their hometown. Ever since, she has resented being left behind to take care of the rest of the family (first, daddy Willie; and later, their baby sister).

* Ruby (Celia Weston?) is introverted and awfully naive about men. She'd probably be the first to join Opal in P.V. (followed by Pearl), running away because the widower she's been involved with forever has taken up with a younger woman. However, she becomes involved with none other than Billy Clyde Tuggle. Much to everyone's consternation.

Of course, their "deceased" half-sibling, Diamond - conceived after Willie cheated on Lurlene - will return from the grave. She was presumed dead after the strip club where she worked burned to the ground.
