April 22, 201313 yr Member Disagree more cross overs are needed infact they need to do a full month of cross overs every day on both soaps. ... Why are crossovers needed? And for a full month?
April 22, 201313 yr Member People say JG is a boring headwriter. I think this show really needs a "boring" headwriter for a while after the MAB madness with all the crazy stories at the same time. Honestly, I just think it's been so long since Y&R has been written the way it should be that some have forgotten what it's like.
April 22, 201313 yr Member ... Why are crossovers needed? And for a full month? They aren't needed. AT least not for Y&R as they never benefit the show.
April 23, 201313 yr Member JG has TWO co-head writers - Tracey Thomson (started in December) and Shelly Altman. (Started last month). They are just associate writers aren't they? Not sure what the specific differences is (Griffith himself seems to be called differently--HW or associate during his two periods at OLTL with Malone, though sometimes they were credited first together and sometimes Malone first.)
April 25, 201313 yr Member I don't know what Jill is up to at YR, but she is badly needed at GH. The structure alone is abysmal! She could out exec produce Valentini any day of any week! I need to get a campaign started!
April 26, 201313 yr Member ^^^ THIS! Sick of the JFP haters. Can't wait to hear her say "And Here I am again" come Emmy time this year. I will admit I'm a JFP hater. She effed up OLTL during her tenure it's the only time I ever tuned out of the show and I've watched it since 1974. Sadly, she may win an Emmy, but there is no accounting for taste.
April 26, 201313 yr Member I really don't get the hate. OLTL was amazing during her tenure. It was explosive, dark, and the wonderful Catherine Hickland was the front-and-center star. Much of GH's problems were due to Frons/Guza/the mob (which was present long before Jill took over). Y&R has been more watchable and has better music to boot.

April 26, 201313 yr Member Um, wow. Indeed. If ever there was a time to make such a bleak assertion about Y&R's future it was the MAB years.

April 26, 201313 yr Member I really don't get the hate. OLTL was amazing during her tenure. It sucked cock. She almost singlehandedly began the process of dismantling the show and starting it down the road to cancellation. It was explosive, dark, and the wonderful Catherine Hickland was the front-and-center star. That's nice. Thing is, Cat Hickland was not at all the fan darling she later became at that time. She was almost universally despised by OLTL fans in the JFP years, when she was forced down our throats. Only under post-JFP regimes did she flourish and gain real fan support. April 26, 201313 yr Member I remember many accusing Jill of living vicariously though the Lindsay Rappaport character in those early years.
April 26, 201313 yr Member What was going on with Lindsay R during Jill's run? Because if this was during the time that Nora was kidnapped and held while Lindsay said nothing, she was great. I loved Lindsay and the twin brothers who were hot as hell. Troy and Colin?
April 26, 201313 yr Member I loved Lindsay and the twin brothers who were hot as hell. Troy and Colin? Yep. Those were the "twins" (both portrayed by the same dude, of course).
