I think they're probably going with what he was in GH's biggest period, a hothead, or controlling, or what Laura thinks she wants but doesn't actually want. It's just that none of this works with these actors when they are middle-aged and all generally seem very tired and played out of this material. Genie's lack of interest in any of Laura shows through most of all, to me.

It's been more watchable the past 2 days without the vampire stuff, imo. Kate/Connie is the only ff part for me. I didn't even mind Molly/Rafe/TJ yesterday, although I agree with the people who previously said her voice is annoying.

That said, I hate how Scotty is constantly thrown under the bus for Luke. It bothered me as a 14-year-old when Scotty showed up at L&L's wedding and was immediately treated as the villain to prop Luke and it still does now.

I like Anna/Duke. When he was first on I was mostly watching GL instead of GH, but this is the first role where I find Ian Buchanan to be tolerable.

Tracy basically ruled yesterday's episode for me and I loved how she kept sniping about the maid when everyone converged at the Quartermaines.

As mentioned all Wolfe did was reveal that Kate had a secret. That secret wasnt elaborated till RC took over. GW planted the seeds, but RC ran with it. Even if GW meant to go the DID route, it didn't have to delve into this year long Comedy Connie crap. The destruction of Kate and turning her into a complete joke is all on Ron

Let's face it Connie was never a great character and never served a purpose, especially when they had to rewrite her backstory like 3 times to make her Sonnys "true love"

They should have cast Kelly Sullivan as Connie and made her a cousin of Kate and Olivia's and been done with it

    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.
    • RIP Wayne Lewis.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
