OLTL: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

Digest basically hoovers up what they get online and prints it as rumor. That's the soap press. They and Branco are two of the least reliable sources I can think of. I just see no reason to buy into it when I've never heard it elsewhere and TOLN is putting RH way up front in promotion and the opening.

(I still don't know why people make up fake "soap" names for themselves.)

1. Some resolution to Natalie/John...even if they re-cast some nobody to play Caleb.

2. Viki v. Dorian rivalry with Dorian actually winning for once.

3. Some mention of Jess/Brody coming together off-screen.

4. A good story for Jack...prolly with him more connected to some Lord family drama with his cousins CJ and Sarah.

5. More Lord's period, like Powell's family.

6. Destiny being a high-priced hooker.

7. Victor Jr. exploring his past.

8. Dani/Matthew romance.

9. More male Cramer's (Jack cannot be the only one!)...maybe Zane or River should make appearances?

10. Lindsay Rappaport!

Deep down, I think Jack is a good guy. Knowing that Father Dearest nearly sold him off as a child, having to deal with Victor's "death", and having to deal with his family's genetics/behaviour...that has to do something to him. I'd hope that he has grown up a bit. Maybe Cutter can be a mentor to him.

Performance aside, Jack got off two great lines about the whole baby lie in 2011. "You gave me away in a Mexican airport!" And then at Christmas, he told Sam that sometimes the best present of all was your own baby, "right, Mom?" I couldn't stop laughing. Just priceless.

    • Poor Philip. I appreciate how seriously his and Xander’s scenes were taken though. It felt like real drama and not like a big joke. You could actually feel Xander’s pain and anger. It adds another dynamic to the Kiriakis family storylines and I’m looking forward to the effects that this is going to have across the canvas. I can see them weaving Kate and Roman into this storyline as well. And it would be really nice if this somehow helped cause conflict for Stephanie/Alex too, especially because of what Alex did today. With any luck, Stephanie will be furious about it.  And I’m glad that Sarah has Maggie to confide in about her secret. I also liked seeing Steve and Shawn (and their matching jackets

    • TBF, I don't think we've seen her interact enough with the "have-nots" to know if she is or isn't. It's possible, but I don't think you can say that from her interactions with Eva and Silkpress.
    • You're right - though I did confuse his name with an actual actor who was on Dynasty.

    • "Might" is not "is". And I was talking about the specific case about her attitude to Eva.
    • But she can still be a priveliged elitist. She might have the same attitude to anyone from 'the wrong side of the tracks' whether they had an agenda or not. Nicole seems to be an outlier in her family. Her parents, kids and sister seem to think themselves above reproach.
    • Damian's clothes have definitely been a specific look -kinda reads 70's pimp to me . I guess it's a trend?? but it seems more suited to Holden. JR is 51  and I guess Damian is supposed to be a little younger but it looks a little odd on him in my book. But at least they're trying. The men's clothing has been bland/generic for years-either suits or basic casual stuff interchangeable  b/w them.
