It was Bradley Cooper who tried to help her. I thought it was Hugh at first too, but Brad also has the beard and Hugh wasnt seated near her.

It's the 10 year anniversary of Chicago and I don't think she did.

This gif shows both of them trying to help

And she totally did. Not sure how to describe it but it felt very obvious to me. She wasn't even wearing a mic as far a I could tell.

Oh I only saw Brad on the show. And I think CZJ was singing over a track because at some moments it felt lip synced and at others not.

Bradley Cooper just seems to look kind of unwashed these days. I guess he's trying for a new look.

I felt like the writing barely scratched the surface of Seth MacFarlane's humor.

I thought the musical numbers were quite strong. Bassey, Streisand, Hudson, Adele, impressive.

Really boring show overall (and that's something something, given how boring this ceremony has been in years past).

I kind of wish I hadn't skipped my Sunday night FOX, but I would have been mad had I missed Bassey and Hudson, for example.

I love Seth's humor, but it;s just all wrong for the Oscars.

Seeing the supporting actress noms undescored that Judi Dench should have gotten one for Skyfall (she was better than Amy Adams or the mom from Silver Lining Playbook, but not as good as Hathaway).

What a great show! Seth was a fantastic host, the opening was hystrical, deserving winners, great performances. Affleck being all emotional, JLaws fall and amazing speech and the les mes performance were the highlights for me.

Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington and CZJ were my picks for best dressed.

Ps, did anyone see Hugh Jackman try to help her? WHAT A LAD.

I LOL'd at this laugh.png

Congrats to William Goldenberg who so deservedly won for Best Film Editing (Argo)! He was also nominated for Zero Dark Thirty (with Dylan Tichenor). What a machine!

And I LOVED Sandra Bullock's speech about editing, it was so true!

Shirley Bassey was spectacular! Loved that whole musical arrangement. It's stuck in my head!

Jane Fonda is wearing such an 80s dress. It actually works well on her though. Hard to pull off a color like that.

I LOVE Jane's dress... but, I don't think yellow is her color. I like the yellow, just not on her.

I have to mention that the set design was GORGEOUS! In a day and age of blank stages and steel girders visible to all, this was a lovely change... and incredibly lovely.

I thought Jane and Halle looked spectacular in a neo-'80s kinda way. I like women in tight, perfectly cut tops with sharp shoulders.

Seth McFarlane is a really good singer, I had no idea. Bassey and Streisand both revealed their age and the loss of singing power, although Bassey is hanging tough still belting out the power notes here and there. Streisand is a shadow of her former self. William Shatner is still the man, Channing Tatum was pretty cool in his white tie and tails, and Daniel Day Lewis gave such a charming and endearing speech. All in all a fun show with a lot of star power willing to sing. Jennifer Hudson? This will be hugely unpopular, but it is time for her to show she has another song in her that makes her someone to perform on these shows. Powerful voice, but she needs another song.

Do either SB or BS regularly perform? I know it makes a difference when its been awhile... though, both were amazing. No, they were not what were they were many decades ago, but still amazing. That song is all Hudson has, honestly, but it wouldnt have been right to have her sing anything else. I do wonder why there was no tribute to Moulin Rouge though.
