Is Brandon Barash on his way out? This rumor usually goes around every few months but now it seems true. I heard he's even been out auditioning.

I read that he said that he hasn't taped for 6 weeks, that was at a fan event or something he said that recently.

It's not like his character is demanding screentime right now. Though him leaving wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm sure, as an actor, he WANTS to work. However, It's likely they have a lot going on right now for the 50th so it makes sense to me if he hasn't taped much.

It is too bad what's been done to Johnny and the character has been written into a corner, pretty much.

He hasn't taped for 6 weeks and he recently auditioned for a series regular role on Nashville.

I still want Maxie/Johnny, but now they are dating in real life so maybe it's best that doesn't happen on screen.

I can understand it though. I mean a shift in real life relationships could easily impact what happens when playing opposite each other.

Truth be told, the character of Johnny has run his course. He felt like he was on borrowed time for quite a while and the Zacharras out lived their stay here. Im fine with him exiting.

agreed and I think a lot of actors become self-conscious about displaying what should be private in front of the world, whether they mean to or not. They may try to play it safe and that translates onscreen
