I wouldn't mind if they killed off Linc either since he hasn't been on the show for so long. I don't think he and Kelly ever did have kids. I strongly suspect we'll learn Evelyn is really Kelly at some point, especially if this girls' school is located on the outskirts of Pine Valley in a place where she wouldn't necessarily have to mingle with the townsfolk very often.

She was so popular that after Kitty died they brought her back a year later as her never-mentioned twin Kelly. IIRC, this was the first time a soap ever did that.

Hmm, that's interesting. But that would mean at some point we'll see both Kitty and Kelly and we'll also have Adam and Stuart. Do you think the show would actually have 2 sets of twins at the same time? I guess it wouldn't be that far fetched given that we also had Natalie and her year younger look alike sister Janet at the same time Adam and Stuart were on the canvas.

I don't think they're bringing Kitty back from the dead, I think Evelyn will turn out to be Kelly.

She doesn't have to be amnesiac to be Kelly. I can see a scenario like this: Linc died a few years ago and she got involved with a guy who was doing something illegal and/or beating her up. Kelly escaped him and decided to start a new life with a new identity, remembered an old friend who worked at the all-girls' schools near Pine Valley and voila, Evelyn arrives!

I don't think she was really complaining but I actually don't think she was kidding. Did LOL at her ending - it with something like "don't they know who my mother is?"

I think it will probably be something they're doing more so for hits (<-- internet ratings) initially. I agree with you, hopefully they won't take it too far. I'm not opposed to nude reflection showing through a shower door, some side boob, some butt along with the regular daytime fare - but anything more than that is not something I really want to see.

Hee. Sorry, I couldn't help it - and it was more of a tease wink.png

    • Just compared the open on Friday's episode with the first week episodes. I think the difference is that the bass line is much more apparent -- stronger and harder.
    • Phew, that was close to disaster!

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
