I miss them both. But if that's all we got, it was damn good.

I am really doubting either will come back it's already almost the 10th of the month. I don't think pp has any funding.

Shocking to hear from you :P

Well yeah, I do sorta share the same mindset--rationally anyway.

I haven't given up on them - I still believe these shows and soaps can have a future - but I'm just trying to take things in this very specific situation as they come. I gave up on trying to second-guess PP or count OLTL and AMC out last February.

Yeah, that makes sense to me. We should know by now that PP aren't exactly a company to announce things much in advance--good or bad. *Someone* at TOLN is still involved posting pointless comments and quizes which I take as some sort of sign...

I think that they sent out the Robin Strasser Test and this new thing as a way to get the ball rolling again. It kinda worked because it has been a while since this thread alone has been this high on SON. Maybe there will be news soon?

More PP hate from DC on there podcast this week. Saying how CBS should take Robert Scott Wilson to YR or B&B. Making fun of their hiatuses . They need to grow up

  • Member

Well the PP thing is kind of a joke now. They don't have anyone to finance these shows.

My point is that If and when they return, DC will start kissing ass again.

How about going back to telling everyone Jean is Y&R's savior

Making fun how??

I think it would make sense if B&B or Y&R hired Robert Scott Wilson because he already has modeled at The Price is Right. This would be a great way to cross promote just like when they have Daniel Goddard from Y&R as a model.

Well we can officially say the Oct. 21st date is false. If it were true, then the cast would already know about it so they could prepare flights, hotels, etc.

Carolyn: No. Any update on AMC?

Thorsten: No. I talked to Ginger [EP Ginger Smith] yesterday. Nothing is in place. Eden [Riegel, Bianca] is about to have a baby and my love interest [Pilar Garces, Lea] is about to have a baby. We’re going to have to call it All My Children-en-en-en.

I stand by my sentiment that AMC is just as dead as OLTL. Or, at the very least, AMC will get some kind of "whatever they can afford" season 2 and that's it on both shows. Either they get enough money to do both shows or I think they'll call it a day.

There is NO funding. If there's no money what do they do go to the money tree park where they pick money off of trees. The shows were not successful enough for investors to put any money into them. I wish PP would release a statement stating that the shows have been cancelled instead of giving fans all this false hope. If I were an investor I wouldn't put a dime in these shows there's no money to be made. We got a season. A piece for them more then I ever thought.

well Both shows and their teams are working hard to get Season 2 going. just because some here wont invest dollars doesnt mean others in the business wont

As an investor u don't invest money in something thats unsuccessful. So far AMC although the better show did nothing to really generate enough to bring the ratings up. I am sure the only way an investor would invest in AMC is if they secured Lucci for the second season and so far she has declined. She has declined so many times this reboot. Shes a busy bee with Devious Maids being a suprirse summer hit. Its one of those things the only way I put money is if Lucci is a definite yes for season 2 and so far she wants NOTHING to do with it.
