What can I say? I'm sorry, Cheap, if you're reading this. I said what I said before w/o knowing you had created the video in question -- which I had not seen, by the way. When I said I don't like these kinds of videos, I was speaking in general terms.

YES! I love it. And I have to say... I think Bobbie Eakes, Melissa Clare Egan and Jamie Lunar could all fit right in on Dallas. Hell, David Canary could make a great Dallas villain! I wish Susan had interacted more with Larry Hagman when she was on Dallas.

Theme-wise, I'm unsure as to whether it "works." KNOTS LANDING's theme is so much a part of the overall KL experience, it's tough for me to see it used for another series, even one produced by the same company (Lorimar). However, I give props to whoever made this for putting together a reasonably professional-looking package. They used the entire regular cast from FALCON CREST's fifth season, not some "dream cast" that mixed actors from the show during that season with actors from previous and/or later seasons (and in many cases, with actors who'd never been on the show at all); they picked decent clips, showing each actor in action, although the main one for Susan Sullivan (Maggie) was a noticeable misstep; and they used KNOTS' template in such a way that, with some slight tweaking (a different theme song, maybe smoother-looking font), could work rather well as an opening sequence for FC itself.

Okay, okay, I'm getting back on topic. Sheesh.

LOVED the Francesca video, I was wondering when they would address the elephant in the room of her past on the show, on screen and off, with casual and new viewers.

Evelyn sure seemed motherly to Celia in that video. And she's next to Joe in the cast photo and the opening and there's not a story there? Yea whoever said that can sit down now.

Still weirded out that Griffin isn't in the opening, I assume he would be by Cara. They'll have to add Colby soon anyway so perhaps there will be a second opening.

It's apparently very hard for some people. A lot of them are going there, seeing the ad for Hulu Plus and assuming they are going to have pay either now or after 1 week. I want to tell them, geez, scroll down the page, click a show you see on there and see how it plays for free! They don't seem to even be trying that. Some thought Hulu was a cable channel and were clicking their remotes. Some don't know why they aren't seeing episodes up yet. Some call it Hula. I think my favorite exchange so far was:

Post: Hola sucks!

Response: Why does the Spanish word for hello suck?

    • I'm going to be so sad when she's written out or leaves. I know characters like this have an expiration date or just come and go often, but I really think she's been an incredible asset to this freshly launched soap. You would think she's been doing soaps for decades, she's a real pro.
    • Agree that this was a great week that brought some much-needed payoff to storylines that have been building for months. I'm just not sure about the comparison with Guza. I think if he were writing the show right now, the big sweeps event would be probably something like Daniel Goddard's Environmental Physics professor setting off a bomb at the Nurses' Ball and the rest of the cast getting caught in the carnage.

    • I don’t know either But having some random junkie extra be a part of John’s death, and Orpheus still being alive doesn’t feel right  I have no problem with the age gap, but I admit I do kind of side eye the high school element. I mean, when they hooked up 21 year old Casey Moss with 53 year old Kassie DePaiva, I had no problem, but this…

    • Trisha Mann-Grant is so so good. I can’t believe I’ve never seen her in something before.
    • When watching the clip of Michael returning I wonder if the announcer set a record for fastest "the role of..." I've never really connected to any of LLC's characters in her soap career, but I will give her credit for always knowing how to make a reaction and scene count. She did when Gio stormed out of the room, and her reaction to Michael returning and walking off with Miley, even in the background of a scene, was great.  (and how is today the day I just realized Lisa is married to Michael Patrick Jann, of The State fame).
