I'm so wrong. After seeing the first official spoiler. My ideas on this have changed. AMC is going to be good.

So good.

I really cannot wait till it and OLTL are back!!!

Hmm, I took his comment to be more about the later returnees finding it hard to fit in to the company of actors and crew who have bonded through the experience of birthing the new era of the show -- and less so about not being able to give them story.

That's the same way I took his comment, as well - he's referencing that the "late-bees" may have trouble fitting in with the cast and crew after the "on-timers" going through this initial experience together.

I thought Debbi did mention that there would be a chance for other favorites to return later in one of her other tweets.

Maybe she did at some point, but I do know she started out with the other comment when she was asked about Walt and Bobbie.

Such a great Interview. Its so cool PP treats them well.

Hopefully they keep it up. Hopefully they have a lot of time to keep it up.

I agree, AMC needs to keep the same basic theme. A more modern rearrangement is fine (I'd love a rock version or really synthesized-sounding myself, but that's just me), but regardless the basic tune should be recognizable. There's no point in starting over with a whole new song.

I'd be upset if they didn't use it.

I'll settle for OLTL not having that same Supercuts opening they had for almost a [!@#$%^&*] decade.

OLTL could go anywhere for their opening, including in terms of theme. I didn't have a strong attachment to any of them. I will say, the 90s one with no cast featured was probably my favorite. I wouldn't mind to see that updated.

As an AMC and OLTL follower, I'm mostly annoyed by seeing the same Tweets in both threads. But it's not that deep, I'll deal.

One thing I will say... once these shows are off the ground and we're presumably having daily threads, I don't think it will still be necessary to re-Tweet any- and everything these people say. I think at that point it's up to the fans as individuals to choose whether or not to follow folks on Twitter.

Yes! I don't want to sound like I'm beating a dead horse, but I'm not on Twitter and I don't want to be. It would be nice not to have everything re-tweeted all the time.

Yes, AMC daily threads! I remember when we tried a weekly thread for AMC and all hell broke lose.

I believe OLTL had weekly.

We definitely need daily threads for AMC again!

Interesting.

ENDall.

I love that and once the show starts airing, I plan to steal it from you.tongue.png

So the show is defiantly getting an opening? With 30 minutes, and a lower budget, I just assumed they'd have a 3 second title card

I think AMC should do an updated version of the final opening. Yeah, it wasn't the falling pictures/family album in terms of iconic opening sequences, but it was nice and established Pine Valley as well as the cast. Maybe the falling pics version could be updated.

As for OLTL, the blue tinged cast opening with the tour of Llanview backdrop was my all time favourite soap opera opening. I'd like to see something like that again. Their final opening was a hot mess that, while consistently updated more than any other ABC soap, looked very cheap by the end because it was all just close up face shots. I love their theme song so I hope they keep that too.

I enjoyed this interview. Really loved Thorsten Kaye enthusiam, on working for those PP peoples.

The thought of Zach Slater makes my teeth itch but I like Thorsten and I loved that interview.

"I was just f—king around at the catering table stuffing bagels in my pocket. All of a sudden, someone comes up to me and says, “Can you be ready in three minutes?” I said, “Sure. I’ve got three bagels in a baggie and some bacon, I’m good.”

This cracked me up. The man has his priorities straight. I don't know how long PP is going to be able to keep that food service going. Eventually they're going to need to come up with a more sustainable arrangement.

Let hope they don't do a 15 second blurb like GH.

It's hilarious how the actors are crushing on craft services smile.png Really shows how cheap ABC was.

It also shows that PP knew exactly what to do to make some of these people forget the mess from last year. There's nothing like a well-stocked breakfast buffet to make everybody feel like all is forgiven.
