Same.

Well. At least we know now for sure, right? I am truly disappointed for all those who enjoyed the 40 or so episodes and now won't get to see "what happens next." But at least someone tried.

Bottom Line Re: @Prospectpk, @AllMyChildren & @OneLifeToLive for me is that PP did give its all. They didnt give up after the first set back. They raised 25 Million. They got a studio, writers, producers, actors. They even worked out new media contracts with the unions. That right there is a new frontier.

From all accounts from the actors while they filmed, PP treated them like royality. PP put money into new sets, HD, catering. The casts had nice dressing rooms. PP put the actors up at an hotel. Most said it felt like they were back in college. Other actors said being on set felt like he shows were a repeatory company.

Ok so PP doesnt have the best PR department and some were upset about the lawsuit. However I would have also sued ABC too. PP bought all things OLTL & AMC & ABC was playing hardball, not cool.

As I said before I feel if PP had started the shows off seasonal and then increased if they proved to be money makers then future seasons may have occured easier.

Bottom line, TV & film is all about the money. Yes both AMC & OLTL were highly watched on Hulu and I Tunes but maybe not enough eyeballs to make the profits they needed. Also ad space on the net costs less than on TV so they didnt make enough money there as they would have if it wa son TV

Once again PP, thanks for the efforts. The cast & crew were awesome. Thank you for this year, it was great to visit Pine Valley & Llanview again.

I have a feeling the following will happen:

1) The lawsuit between PP and ABC will be dropped (quietly).

2) PP will allow ABC to reclaim all rights to AMC and OLTL (in exchange for cash, perhaps?).

3) Frank and Ron will feel free to incorporate more parts of AMC and OLTL's histories into GH as they see fit.

Someone brought up an interesting point on another board. If the rights revert back to ABC they may not be able to use PP's storylines. They used Golden Girls as an example. NBC cancelled the show. CBS bought the rights and did the spin-off Golden Palace. CBS cancelled that show and the rights went back to NBC. NBC wanted to do a retrospective of the show including the spin-off but CBS wouldn't allow them to use the episodes they produced.

I wonder if the same thing could happen here. ABC gets the rights back but wouldn't be able to use any of PP's stuff. So they would either have to pick up from the characters left off on GH or ignore that and pick up from the ABC finale. AMC wouldn't have that dilemma.

    • Above, I said "Vanessa needs to go to therapy to find ways to remain healthfully lusty and sex-positive, but to stay away from anyone who would demean her." Now adding onto that thought, I would clarify that sometimes I think Vanessa fools around for fun in a positive way.    But other times I sense that she's actually unconsciously trying to demean herself as way of numbing some inner pain -- it's hard to explain what I mean.  Sort of like... sometimes people drink for fun. But other times, people drink  in a self-destructive way, in order to drown out some inner pain. So I think she needs therapy about all of that.
    • A lot of these episodes are available on YT. The rape storyline starts around February or March of 1979 and Roger's demise is sometime in March 1980. The stuff from before 1979 is close to non exisitent, unfortunately.
    • Maeve Kinkead was on from 1980-1988 (left in January); 1989-2000 (went recurring 1996-97); 2002 -For Josh /Reva's Wedding; 2005 (appearances in May and December) back regularly from Feb 2006-end Maureen Garrett was on from 1976-80; 1988-2006 (recurring from 2003 on); 2009 Michael Zaslow was on/off from 1971-1980 with breaks in between but usually made an appearance every year then again 1989-1997. There is a youtube commercial  Guiding Light in 1968

    • Holly's final big story was the Sebastian mess in late 2004.   Vanessa and Matt were promoted to regulars near the end and were heavily recurring prior to that starting around 2007/2008.
    • Keith has a softer presence, but it would have helped to see him be more aggressive or proactive in protecting them instead of standing around like a mannequin. A man the audience should be hoping and wishing gets back together with his wife. Nicole needs a new husband!
    • She needs to learn to be honest with her husband about her lusty interests because being sex positive only works if you're not cheating on your spouse.

    • Very disappointed in the writers in the way they are screwing with Nicole, Ted,  and Kat to make Leslie remain viable. So many holes everywhere.
    • Somebody brought this up elsewhere which emphasizes why this NuTed appears as such a weakling. Why is Kat doing what HE should be doing? And that's everything he can to rid him and his family of this crazy woman. Kat is doing all kinds of things she shouldn't do but now I understand her more. She can't count on her father to eliminate this woman because he's a wimp. He's been too busy inviting her into his home and serving her drinks and offering her invitations to birthday parties. WIMP!!!!
