Khan, you weren't a fan of Hold On To Love? Really? I thought that was like...the best-fitting modern soap theme of any of them, it sounded so damned regal and really gave them a strong brand identity (God, I sound so...mechanical saying that but...)

That's one reason why I'm sad it wasn't their final theme. There really was a finality to its sound.

The short bumper-sized AW opening that they had at the end. I actually like the longer version, but all the short version was was a bumper that they thought they'd use as the opening. Stupid.

IIRC, ANOTHER WORLD was forced to abbreviate that opening, because it was too expensive to keep updating it at a time when the cast was in so much flux. Of course, when you are being realistic about things like budget, you end with something like the GL 2007 opening, so go fig.

Where did you read about that? I assumed you might have seen a picture from behind the scenes somewhere. In any case, a large group shot is idiotic. Cast changes on soaps are like waiting for rainfalls. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN, JUST GIVE IT A SEC. The only way it would work is if it was something photoshopped like the current GH ones.

I actually think that's a cool open....but, yeah, it's not soapy at all. Just doesn't fit.

Yeah. That made no sense. Plus. No cast pics. So, we didn't get a chance to see Kristoff St. John and Jon Lindstrom in the opening for that. Yes, they were contract players on that show.
