I get it fits with the title, but UGH.

I always laugh at that opening. It sounds like the show itself flatlined, and they needed to put shock paddles on it to keep it going.

And then there's the random Riunite print ad dumped in the middle of all those "Trapper John M.D."-esque surgical room photos, as if they're saying, "Oh, wait, there's some lovin' too!"

I started off liking the OLTL opening but I eventually grew tired of it after 8 years.

It happened before I started watching. But, like I said. Youtube is the shiznit. From what I've seen of Trevor. He was great. And, then just letting him die like that. So wrong.

Well I was watching back then LOL, and Trevor was awesome. Him and Natalie were just so much love (I know Carl won't agree).

I was sort of over it by the time he married Janet from another planet for real, but still. The freezer death was just wrong.

But that is the trend for primetime. Daytime is, for once, being contemporary. Yeah, the days of long openings were good but with more ad time they are forced into this. For a "title card" this is not bad IMO; it is actually better than some I've seen in primetime.

I [!@#$%^&*] hate title cards. I really do. IMO. They are cheap and totally uncreative.

Oh god, this is one of my favorites of all time. LOVE the music LOVE the posing it screams soap opera. The current Y&R one I dislike. I get they were trying to go back to their roots with the white but I hate the font and I hate the stupid black bars. The 90s white opening was better.

My least favorite I think would be the JFP AW opening. To me it screams desperation.

About the AMC white opening. I wasn't a big fan of the style of it but the theme music (particularly this version of the cue) will always have a special place in my heart as it was the one that aired when I first started watching AMC ;-)

And highly unpopular but I LOVED the GH siren opening style/theme. What I hated was the lack of updates (I'm still bitter none of the Zacchara's ever made it in after 2 years of being on the show...damn) and that embarrasing ending w/all the guys.

So true, though! So many shots that needed updates, it was ridiculous.

Yeah I actually like the theme. It's not as epic as AMC's since it's shorter, and the previous OLTL opening was DYNAMITE. But it was definitely acceptable.

Oh LORD, do NOT get me started on the lack of updates to the GH Siren Opening. It made my blood boil. At the end especially. It was literally a game of "Where's Waldo?" in terms of who in the male shot was actually still on the show, let alone alive! JEESUS.

I remember reading once that there WAS an alternate version shot with all the women dressed up too, but I can't remember the reason why it was never used.

Another least favorite of mine:

The short bumper-sized AW opening that they had at the end. I actually like the longer version, but all the short version was was a bumper that they thought they'd use as the opening. Stupid.
