Toxic Lovers: EP and HW Combo edition

What are/were some of the worst toxic HW/EP combo's? Such as Guza and Phelps or Frank and Ron. I am also wondering how bad it would be if Phelps and McTavish were at AMC together and other "Train wrecks waiting to happen"! Sorry for being morbid!!

MAB and JFP would have been a NIGHTMARE!!!

I have a feeling JFP would kill MAB! MAB seems like some stuck up WASPy blue blood that belongs to the "Daughters of Fine Lineage" or something while JFP reminds me of some mafia princess.

JFP seems to have had issue with a number of people--prob because (her time at GH, it seems, aside) she likes to control the overall vision of the show. WIth McTavish, particularly on OLTL that meantthat McTavish seemed to agree to all of her ideas (and Pam Long said that the recent she was so brief at OLTL was exactly that).

MAB and JFP would have been a NIGHTMARE!!!

For the cast and crew of Y&R? Definitely.

For those of us here who love to chew on every piece of delicious backstage gossip? Hell to the no.

Wheeler controlled story on GL. Rauch liked to control everything, and didn't deal well with women in power. JFP just likes to bring on her friends, and doesn't consider the consequences to the show she is running. Goutman also spooled a lot of story ideas that the writers had to follow. Therefore, any combination of these EPs with a headwriter, IMO, is/was bad.

Let the writer write. It should be the job of the EP to make the best of that vision. Not the other way around.

Paul Rauch & Harding Lemay. The created a masterpiece at AW (from what I've heard and little I've been privileged to see), but from reading Lemay's Eight Years in Another World, they despised one another & clashed.

Oh guess I can add Irna Phillips & Harding Lemay too.

John Conboy/Ellen Weston - GL

Ellen Wheeler/David Kreizman - GL

John Valente/Henry Stern and Stephen Black - ATWT

I agree with Goutman and Passanante.

I agree the EP should produce and let his writers write. He was the real HW for ATWT in the later years.
