Corday is a prime example of an offspring inheriting a business he's not qualified to manage. Each "fix" turns out worse than the one before it. I have not been a regular viewer since Hogan took over, made a bunch of promises and turn the show into a 3 ring circus.

I will say that Days has my complete attention if someone just goes and gets rid of Allison Sweeney. Her dominance of the show is one of the reasons it has tanked and making her mother hen was the worst idea ever. Days would survive with out AS!

Yes, she did. She also has written for the show, designed sets and wardrobe for it, hung lights for it, and even pitch-hitted for one of the makeup people and for Peggy McCay while she was out with the flu. She's done it all. ;)

Even better: PP finalizes plans, ABC announces they're doing the reboots, PP calls for legal intervention, and somehow -- SOMEHOW -- some judge or arbitrator rules PP and ABC both can do reboots of AMC and OLTL, leading to a crazy-weird situation where each show, along with its respective characters, exists in two separate "universes," one on network, the other on cable and internet.

In PP's AMC, Dr. David Hayward will be played by Vincent Irizarry, but ABC's AMC...? Who knows? Perhaps Grant Aleksander?

Days cancellation is announced in 2013

GH continues to bring back fan favorites

Maurice Bernard joins Y&R as a gangster drug lord

PP fails in its attempts to get AMC and OLTL online...then close to Christmas Time another Miracle thread is created at SON after PP says the project will happen in 2014...lol

Craptini gets fired and GH actually gets some character development before getting a well written finale.

BM and AH get canned and Villy fade off into oblivion.

CK gets fired and Shannon Kane is the new Lily.

MM gets fired and Adam dies a violent death.

Nikki feuds with a rival closer to her age.

    • I mean, casting handsome, young, white men with floppy hair isn't exactly a new thing for soaps.  All these characters are supposed to be handsome, young, white men so it's not odd. If we want to talk about Trina's love interest being Cardboard Kai I can agree.  This isn't the same thing.
    • Leslie is nuts! Her pretending to be Nicole was peak insane. Tricia has plenty to put in her Emmy reel, but that might seal a nomination. NuTed finally did something to break out of the background and hopefully he keeps it up. Vanessa trying to stand up for Nicole wasn't wrong, but she has no room to judge anyone on adultery. Doug seems like a good person outside of the gambling and clearly has never cheated, yet Vanessa has constantly played in his face with her cheating. Tracy got Anita to be truthful and for the mask to slip. If Tracy is this direct I cannot imagine how much Sharon is going to go in.
    • Do NOT jinx this year or next year.
    • @ErrolI saw no new episode Monday, is it a repeat or just not airing due to the Holiday?

      Wonderful episode!!!!
    • I think we all dodged a bullet when Violet didn't get flown in to sing with the kids.
    • Just got home from work and chilling a bit before I dig into the new episode. I'm glad to read that Anita and Tracy had some good scenes and I can't wait to see TT finally get something to sink her teeth into.  She's far too talented and likable to continued being saddled with those weird monologues that even she can't make work all the time. The one thing I've noticed after about 60 episodes is that the show seems to rotate all the stories from week to week where they get A level attention.  So I have no doubt that Derek/Ashley will get less attention next week since they received B+ attention this week...and I guess Hayley finally is getting some attention though that means that energy vampire Dani will be seen

    • Oh! you're referring to the presence/strength that emanates from the actor. I was referring to the characterization.  Different things that can overlap. Okay. Yeah Keith has a softer presence than Maurice but they both compel me in different ways.   Perhaps we'll see Keith's presence stronger as he grows into the role.  At any rate, I personally found Keith compelling and wanted to watch him.
    • I am glad you brought this back up as it made me remember that the story was about Daran Kelly (Dan Kennicott). Sorry. I guess Dan didn't exactly set the world on fire either. I see that three actors played Wally, one of whom (Nigel Reed) would go on to play an even more thankless role on GL...no wonder he left the industry. Was his 1984 return for any reconciliation with Devon? They don't mention the reason on here.  Wally McFadden
