WTF!!!!!

I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I'm very pleased to hear Jennifer Bassey is returning and I believe Lee Meriwether is likely to return too.

Then that would be my mistake. I don't remember her name being discussed before, so I must have forgotten. There wasn't much of a hue and cry at the time, I guess.

I dont remember Klein's name either until the last day or so. I could have forgotten. It has been a loooong and entertaining and maddening 400+ pages

The SOD quote is so strange about it. She's literally in parentheses in the blurb so I'm just guessing they might have assumed she will be after they saw a few of her tweets. Someone should tweet her and ask.

On Twitter someone said that "Jill Larson always has the best news" and then they waxed poetic about Jennifer being back and the possibility of Stuart/Marian scenes.

I think I figured out the CBS daytime star PP has hired that Errol was referring too. It's the guy from The Price is Right Rob Wilson and I think he's going to AMC.

God, that would be such a letdown. I feel like Errol would know most of us would expect an actor with all his teasing.

If it's the CBS Daytime guy Errol was hinting at, Wilson is going to OLTL.

SBH herself has said she shouldn't have been EP and HW at the same time but that it was a stopgap measure after Gottlieb and Griffith left.

I do think she maintained the style, fabric and tone of Gottlieb and Malone's OLTL for at least two more very good years, in the face of ABC pushing hard on certain new hires. There were a few dud storylines and characters here and there, as there always are on any soap, but honestly, it was a very good show AFAIC with stories that are now legend to most fans. And she certainly had a long history as a talented staff writer in Gottlieb's run - she was apparently very close to LG - as well as at P&G. I'm more than willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. People like to nitpick based on this, that and the other nuance of who was or wasn't in charge when, but to me good is good. And Horgan minded the store very well for her first two years as EP, until she couldn't deal with ABC anymore or manage the HW properly.

And in any event, she's not EP anymore.

I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (although I was more willing before the side that reminded me of one of my biggest concerns with her era), but I think her OLTL run was a mixed bag. I still think she and Racina could be great, but I think people who are setting up the dichotomy of OLTL being great and AMC being awful, before either are on the air, are setting up very big expectations which I'm not sure are based on the work of those involved.
