HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I could see Julia Barr doing it but I think David Canary would be recurring AT BEST. But who knows? He could always un-retire if it's close enough for him to do, I can't see him leading storyline though but appearing in a strong capacity throughout the year would be nice. Is he not good health wise though?

To the best of my knowledge, he is in good health but he made it pretty clear when he left that he simply no longer wanted to deal with the grind of being on a daily show and that playing Adam and Stuart really wore him out. I think it's best to write Canary off for anything other than the occasional guest shot a la James Mitchell.

I think so, too. Besides, as much as I enjoyed watching DC, I'd be lying if I didn't say I felt Adam, as a character, was beginning to repeat himself toward the end of DC's run.

He could always play Stuart, who wasn't on very much.

Who could "Faith" really be, you guys?

Hayley, perhaps?

I thought it could maybe be her as well. Or Skye, Brooke, Colby?

I was either thinking Skye or Brooke.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking J.R. shot no one, and that the show will move on as quickly as possible from that cliffhanger.

Winifred?

Poor Adam, it's sad that I had a tough time thinking of any woman who I'd really consider to be "attached at the hip". But I'm thinking Colby too.

I really want to buy that side but it costs five bucks and cigarettes and condoms don't grow on trees.

Though I think the fact that he fired a gun will directly correlate to the fact that Adam doesn't leave him in control of the company.

I ag--. Say what?

I thought it was Hayley, if only because Kelly Ripa played Faith in "Hope & Faith." But that's probably too obvious.

BTW, I find it curious that they say they've decided not to spoil the identity of "Faith". Ordinarily, wouldn't that just be considered typical soap spoiler news? They'll spoil it anyway once "Faith"'s casting is announced.

Good call. But would they really recast Hayley though? Or maybe they have plans to woo Ripa for a few episodes just to launch this s/l? I can't see Hayley running Chandler off screen. Seems like she'd be uninterested in the position and would appoint a CEO.

I'm thinking hot young boardroom blonde Colby.

Yeah. Nellie Branco did spread a lot of gossip about him being sick around the Stuart murder story, but... That said, his last year or so, he did--I hate to say it--seem worn out (even some of his appearances as Stuart--either as a ghost or the return, didn't seem as spot on as they always have been).

I know many blame the move to LA for Canary leaving, and it mayhave made it easier for him to do so--but IMHO the writing was on the wall. He's also obviously an actor who always igves his all, and I suspect he'd rather retire than not give that kind of performance.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking J.R. shot no one, and that the show will move on as quickly as possible from that cliffhanger.

I dunno, Agnes was involved in the cliffhanger (from what she says in the AMC commemorative magazine), and said it was leading somewhere--and if she is involved now, maybe some of that will play out. I doubt it will be ignored, anyway.

How I hope it's Brooke--that's the only woman lately I could imagine being attached to Adam's hip (at least off-screen...). A grown up Colby could too, I suppose--given the year and a half off screen, but I want Brooke :D

I love how Soapcentral says they won't reveal who Faith is for story spoiler reasons--I bet they have no idea. Based on that script alone it would be pretty easy to guess the guy was JR--even if they say they learned the news exclusively....
