Reuniting Felicia and Frisco would be a terrible mistake, IMO, and undo the work they've done to rehab her character this year in a strong supporting role with Mac. I never thought I'd be able to tolerate the Flea again, but she works here. And Frisco has been the ultimate deadbeat for decades.

There's no need for Frisco. Too many in this Faison story will ruin it. FRon are spending too much time going in the past trying to resurrect yesteryear. That's going to work but for so long. Take the current canvas and move forward. Flashbacks as a substitute for actual dialogue? Eventually, the entire audience will be on to you. Some of us are already there.

Considering that the return of the 80s and 90s characters have made GH a helluva lot watchable than it's been in well over a decade, I'm A-OK about Frisco returning to the canvas (while getting rid of Guza's leftovers that have been stinking up the canvas for far too long in the process) and will gladly welcome other pasttime characters' returns (Georgie, for starters).

However, I definitely don't want Frisco's return to be about rekindling his relationship with Felicia, as I've no desire to be down that road again. If Ron were smart, he'd make his return about building/repairing the relationship that he damaged with his surviving daughter (much like I suspect - since I still don't trust this show enough to fully believe the redemption/rehabilitation I'm seeing of the Real AJQ just yet - that Ron is having AJ do with Eeyore) when he stayed away.

After all, I trust the idea (or rather, the truth) of Frisco the remorseful deadbeat parent a lot more than I ever bought that sh!t that Guza tried to sell me about Felicia (or Robert Scorpio, for that matter).

Never said that Guza made Frisco a deadbeat dad, as that's pretty much how I knew him as back in the 90s. I said that Guza made Felicia a deadbeat mother, which is something that I never did and never will buy since unlike Frisco, she was present in both daughters' lives.

Hence is why I said the idea of Frisco being remorseful about not being there for his kids. I don't even know if Frisco's return is a given or what Ron plans to do with him if he does, but I'd much rather that he come back and fight for his surviving daughter's forgiveness over rekindling what he had with Felicia.

    • I am so happy now. Reminds me of the 80s show I loved. Ron really did the cast and fans dirty. The only people complaining are those who only knew Ron and his whiplash plot driven stories

    • Source for this? Especially since Benz was already on AMC as Linda Connor.

    • @soapfan770 1995/96 to 1999/2000 were not very good in primetime. CBS and ABC both had primetime mess eras, and that's how NBC got away with their Thursday garbage shows finishing in the Top 10. Remember too that ABC was sold to Disney in 1996.  As for ABC primetime mess era, it started with the Top 10 fallout of Roseanne and ended with the breakout success of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Monday Night Football and Home Improvement pretty much kept ABC alive in that era.
    • This show is miles better under the new writers. It's really a condemnation of Carlivati, because he had the characters and history to write good soap. Instead, he turned it into a joke and a farce. I've heard some people says DAYS is now "too talky." Miss me with that stupid analysis.
    • I always wondered if Jackie wasn't going to be recast after being persumed dead... if Marland was going to pair Evie and Justin as a couple reunited in grief over Jackie's death. The one consistent thing I noticed about Evie during those months she was still on the show was that she was kind of a second mother to Phillip after Jackie's 'death' and Elizabeth no longer on the canvas.   But then one of the three interim writer teams decided to pair up Helena with Justin.. which left Evie even less to do than she had at the start of 1983. You're right that Evie was a unique character on the soap.  She was sweet and trusting, yet she had a quiet strength that made it difficult to push her around (at least when the Dobson's were writing her).  The Ben/Amanda/Eve triangle was an interesting triangle because neither of the women were evil... and Ben did have chemistry and a connection with both women.   It had a pretty decent run from 1978/9 to 1982 before Amanda was spun off into her mother's new marriage to Mark as the other woman.
    • Lots of fast-forwarding in today's episode. The best parts were the Lulu and Tracy scenes and Chase in the tank top. And once again, a horrible cliffhanger with Sonny.
