We've seen the highs and lows of Cory Matthews and his lifelong sweetheart Topanga. But what about their daughter?

TVLine reports that the Disney Channel is currently circling the prospect of a Boy Meets World sequel series called Girl Meets World. Not only that, but insiders say the cable network is looking to cast original series stars Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga); their two characters were married before the popular sitcom ended in 2000. The new series would focus their pre-teen daughter.

Since the end of Boy's seventh and final season, Savage has made numerous guest appearances on other TV shows like Chuck, Bones and Without a Trace. Meanwhile, Fishel's post-Boy work includes National Lampoon's Dorm Daze and hosting duties on Style Network's The Dish.

Isn't Joshua going to be a recurring character?

I think most of the original cast will technically be recurring but I think i've read things here and there that Shawn and Joshua might be recurring.

I've also seen a lot of 'where's Eric' in comments elsewhere and I think it just stems from the fact that Shawn and Eric both deserve some solid airtime and having them both in the Christmas episode along with Joshua who they sort of need to introduce, IMO, and then Alan and Amy, so I can see why they keep holding off on Eric.

Those pictures though! Rider does not age and Ben just slips right into Cory like zero time has passed. I'm actually kind of more excited to see Alan and Amy as much as I love Shawn.

I am also looking foward to seeing the "reunion." I too am like "Where is Eric" but i want the old Eric. The one who was actually normal before they threw out most of his brain and let him run loose as the village idiot. He was funny but my favorite episode's were when he helped Cory get over Topanga when she went off to live with her parents. and the episode where he took Cory on a roadtrip with him before he decided to go to college.

Season 2 is going to be phenomenal

Sort of glad to hear Eric is comming back but You shuld be a little weary here. It sounds like they will be leaning more heavely on the past characters...which means the current cast isn't as good as they thought. Which means how much longer can it last.

sorry to be the downer but it's true. It's nice to have them back for a Christmas episode or whatever but it sounds like Eric and Shawn and maybe even Feeney will be featured more next season. falling back on the old stuff because new stuff just isn't working.
