November 22, 201213 yr Member the entire opening, even the first version, has got to be the worst opening of all time.
November 22, 201213 yr Member I know a lot with say it wasnt great but compared to the crap Guza and JFP gave the audience it was golden. I doubt Guza and JFP would have given the actor any tribute. It would have been all about the mob. And I would tweet him but I dont use it...I have an account but just loath Twitter...LOL LOL if this were Guza & Phelps, it would have been a mob shoot out and became all about Sason/CarSon/JaSam
November 22, 201213 yr Member I think this one probably would have heavily involved Jason too, it's just that Burton left the show.
November 22, 201213 yr Member With all this board angst I assume Liz must have been in the episode. LMAO! Right? It's funny watching people in this thread are fighting about religion, money, whose wig looks right and who should've showed up, throw in some back-to-back viewings of The Color Purple and this is everything I've come to expect from a family Thanksgiving. Re: the heaven/religion debate, granted I'm an outsider to the Q's history but I've seen this debate before. Even if we are operating within a Judeo-Christian context, there are many different philosophies in that context and many different ideas about what happens when we die. Unless someone can provide objective proof about what happens every interpretation is valid. If one believes that we get a perfect new body in heaven, fine. But judging by what I've seen, Edward and Lila weren't IN heaven, they were traveling there. Lila has a perfect new body but when she came back to get Edward she appeared to him in a way he would recognize. Of course, the reality is that this is a TV show and folks need to keep some perspective on that. Arguing about how heaven is portrayed on a soap opera is like arguing about why Goofy wears pants and talks while Pluto doesn't. Edited November 22, 201213 yr by marceline
November 22, 201213 yr Member Edwards going to get a memorial service before Jason isnt this in large part due to sam refusing to accept his death?
November 22, 201213 yr Member isnt this in large part due to sam refusing to accept his death? I wouldnt expect her to do anything but it seems uncharacteristic of Monica or Carly to not do something or push for one. I dont even think Monica even went to Sam to find out how she has dealt with the news. it was like, oh Jason's dead; oh well AJ's back. Even Sonny didnt seem all that bothered by Jason's death and a memorial for him bc he's been so busy with Connie drama Speaking of which, I forgot to mention that i hate that Sonny had that thug Shawn kidnap Connie Edited November 22, 201213 yr by Cheap21
November 22, 201213 yr Member It's the end of an era If you mean with Edward & Lila being gone, you're right. If you mean with Liz not inspiring a passionate debate here...um, okay. And you REALLY want to nitpick on religion, the Quartermaines are Catholic, IIRC, so shouldn't most of them wind up in purgatory? Just sayin' . the entire opening, even the first version, has got to be the worst opening of all time. For some reason, I actually kind of like the music. I know the way out.
November 22, 201213 yr Member Oh, I know. I wish that would be changed, too. They could keep the music/play a longer version of it, though.
November 22, 201213 yr Member Alice knocking out Heather and AJ's expression. The montage at the end got me. This was a nice tribute RC did good.
November 22, 201213 yr Author Member Look in the lower right hand corner of the new updated opening Jen Lilley is still there!!
November 22, 201213 yr Member Seriously, ladies and gentlemen, I'm an idiot even for bringing up the heaven/religion issue in the first place. Can we all just agree I don't know what the [!@#$%^&*] I am talking about and then move on?
November 22, 201213 yr Member Soaps are supposed to make us care, which they haven't done for many in quite a while, so if they made you care, then I can't blame you there. If you mean with Edward & Lila being gone, you're right. If you mean with Liz not inspiring a passionate debate here...um, okay. And you REALLY want to nitpick on religion, the Quartermaines are Catholic, IIRC, so shouldn't most of them wind up in purgatory? Just sayin' . Both. Since I started watching Supernatural again I end up seeing Purgatory as an endless battle against hideous monsters who have been waiting years to destroy their old enemies. So basically, the Quartermaines are on the Y&R set.
