More stunt casting.

I liked Avery so I'm glad to see him again. Too bad it's not for a better role.

Well, now who are we going to blame the stunt casting on at Y&R now that MAB is gone? whistling.jpg

I'm fine with this. He's a good actor and perfectly suited to the role. I don't consider it stunt casting at all.

Although I'd love it if he turned out to be Roxanne's father. :D

Agreed. I won't be watching, but at least he is working.

Philip Banks was a judge, so of course, that had something to do with James Avery being cast in the role of a judge. When will Reginald Vel Johnson show up playing a cop?

He likely won't be on for more than 10 episodes, another pointless "guest stint" with a former sitcom star. Though, I do like Avery.

I briefly met him when I saw an all-black production of Much Ado About Nothing with him and Geoffrey Owens (Elvin, The Cosby Show) in CT years ago, I'm glad to see him working again.

5 black men on Y&R at once?

Neil, Devon, Sarge, Tyler, and now a new black judge.

And no black women on contract, unless you count Khalil who may or may not be black staying.

Lol! I don't know what's taking so long for the announcement about that! CK gotta go!
