Given that they were still filming Maria's material just a few days ago, I doubt he knows full-on what they're writing for him at this point.

He did the same thing with Maria all the time, even when she wrote some of the most asinine and cartoon-ish material for him.

It may have been asanine to you but MM was frontburnered, Adam was Victor Jr an he was MAB's pet. He knew where his bread was buttered. Until recently he's been backburnered but I think under JFP he will be a leading man again and from whatever he "knows" his enthusiasm for the fall most likely means he'll be written for again.

The SOD I read through at the store today has a page on the various Y&R people who went to the Paley Center for the 10,000th episode. They referred to MAB as "recently deposed", which made me laugh, as I don't remember that being used very often in these circumstances. Braeden said he's a fan of the show, and he wishes Bill Bell were here. There was a photo of Roberta Leighton, who lived nearby and came as a surprise, and reunited with MTS. I'd heard she got some bad plastic surgery, but she didn't look too bad, just sort of her age.

This whole plane strikes me as a thing Days of Our Lives fans would do. There goes my theory that Daniel Goddard paid for his plane.

The said thing is, before LML and Maria, Y&R was never a 'fanbase' soap. It was a soap with a loyal following that many watched because it was once very consistent with a strong sense of self.

His contract expires in November, so he likely won't be off the credits until sometime in December if Griffith fires him.

If Griffith has no Co-HW, it looks like Sheffer may have been demoted to an AHW position.
