I stopped watching like two months ago but decided to watch this one and wow it was really good. I'm glad I haven't watched the clusterf-ck of the storyline leading up to this but Tracy/Monica/Edward was the best part and so sad.

Really tired of John McBain on this show

Thank god for small favors. KKL is just plain lousy. She's one lucky heifer, I tell yah! But I dont' expect the Qs to be resurrected. I just wanted to dream for a second. As for Rex, let's just try to keep such thoughts to ourselves. Can't have that getting out into the universe!

There are really no words to describe how much I hate this guy. He was the only part that NEEDED to be ff'd yesterday. And why is he wearing women's clothing?!

No, it has a Jane Elliot; and with Beverlee McKinsey dead and Susan Flannery about to retire, she's one of the last, remaining vestiges of daytime's former glory left.

John McBain irks me as well. I get he is good looking and is popular, but why does a OLTL character have to be the be-all-end-all for GH? Anna Devane (a bomb expert & GH character) should be the one to defuse the bomb. But I get she is a woman who is over 40 and the writers like their OLTL characters, so I try really hard not to get too irritated and just accept John McBain will be the savior of P.C. unsure.png

The point wasn't to insult JE. It was to point out GH hasn't had a real matriarch or women who drive stories in I don't know how long. I wasn't bringing up KKL due to her talent or Susan for hers. I brought then up because they and these other women are or we're the fabric of their shows. For all the criticizm of B&B and the endless triangle from hell, its been Stephanie, Brooke and now Steffy and Hope that are the keys to that show not Ridge or the villian of the month Bill. GH hasn't had that level of influence or continuity or strength of one femLe character on that show for years and it's been male dominated and influenced for years.

    • Is the set for Lulu's new house an updated version of the set used for the childhood home of Luke, Bobbie and Pat Spencer?
    • I feel like AMC would be the easiest of their soaps to revive but a reboot seems cursed at this point. I wish we had more insight on what was pitched for the primetime reboot as well as these movies. That would give us a better idea of why it keeps getting shot down.
    • Mansion of the Damned sure is a "talkative" horror movie.  In the past when I've watched those episodes, I was paying attention to The Edge of Night characters and not really zeroing in on the rehearsals/blocking/filming of the actual movie.  This time I've been following the plot of Mansion of the Damned pretty closely, and all I can say is Hester Atherton and Nicholas Harriman are about the most chit-chatty Witch and Devil I've ever heard in my life!
    • Ashley and Derek have been so isolated that I need the show to develop something, anything to justify their presence. It's not that I think Joey being her father will be the greatest story ever told but at least it would be something and connect her to more characters. I just need the show to move forward with them. Out of all the characters, these are the only two with no storyline/development. We have recurring characters who are better used with less screentime. If the show is going to keep them on contract they need to do something with them.
    • I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
    • You won't even accept a minute cameo from Ms Marcil herself so she can collect her cheque?
    • Which has also slowed down from 100 pages a day, but I digress.

Yeah. When even I am getting annoyed with it (and still need to catch up on DAYS new team...two weeks behind now grrr) enough to take a break...and B&B holds my interest more for a show where nothing is going on...it's a BAD sign.   Seriously thinking about that break until

Then we go from there. I just can't believe JG just went and lost all the momentum that was built up over the last month. And during May Sweeps, too? No, ma'am.
    • Works for me!!! Just the back of some brunettes head and a hug lol on the Island And also, I like how it's brand new info Mo was good at his job in the 90's.  That's pretty much the entire reason he's still on the show.
    • I recently edited an older episode to do a Denise Alexander edit but Mo was in scenes & I had forgotten that back then he was actually good at his job.  The contrast with today is well alarming.
