Flannery OUT at B&B

I hope that SF isn't going anywhere and this is just a publicity stunt by Brad to show us that RM's leaving isn't that important.

Characters as important as Stephanie and Ridge deserve big, dramatic exit storylines for . This is not Dr. Tricia Quick or Harry Jackson. Their exit should drive story for years. The first version of Stephanie (the aristocratic, cold Mrs. Forrester of the first years) was my favorite character (followed by nineties vixen Brooke) and one of Stephanie's best storylines (for me) was her friendship with Beth Logan, who just happened to be Eric's first love.

Whatever Susan decides to do, I as a B&B fan thank her for the beautiful memories smile.png

They are leaving for different reasons, so I can see BB trying to stick it to Moss. SF has probably been talked into staying for quite some time. The time has come for her.

It had to happen at some point, though I don't feel as though Stephanie has run her course. I hope they still trot her out on holidays and bring her back for limited runs. I think that could work rather well for everyone involved and I could see it happening down the road.

I wish her well. In my opinion, she's the finest thespian in daytime, and certainly the queen bee of her generation of actresses (that are still working in daytime). There is a unique blend of thoughtfulness and realness that Flannery brought to her roles that is rare of an actress working in any medium right now. The quality she brings to her performances will be missed.

And of course, I'm gonna miss the hell out of the Stephanie/Brooke relationship, by far the most interesting relationship on the show. I hope someone like Patrick Mulcahey pens her final episode, or rather their final episode together, someone who really taps into characters and their relationships through dialogue.

I hope that Stephanie gets to give Brooke one last fond farewell slap. LOL! I'll miss my girl, but best wishes to Susan. What a talented actress! She is one of the few that ever graced daytime tv.

Stephanie has been slowly phased off the canvas, which the show has done a good job with. The problem is they have no one who can replace her. People say, "Brooke is the new Stephanie!" but she's really not. Brooke is Brooke. No one is the new ____. It doesn't work. They need to bring in another older actress for a large role.

Well, Bill Bell did create the role of Stephanie for Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie, DAYS). I could see Hayes on B&B, and also Elizabeth Hubbard (Lucinda, ATWT).

I would not recast Stephanie, but there has to be a place for Ms Hubbard. Still drooling here.

I don't think it would be a replacement - she's a very distinct actress and Stephanie is a very distinct character. They need some type of strong older presence on the show, especially since most of the 40/50something characters are so weak and Eric is useless.

I can't see Liz on B&B, because she's such a quirky actress, but I'd still love to see her.

I wish Beverlee McKinsey were still alive :(

Where's Daytimefan to suggest B&B steal Lauren Koslow from DAYS to reprise Margo Lynley?

Wouldn't actually be a bad thing though...

LK needs to stay on Days. She's one of the BEST things about the show and it will go downhill without her. Id rather she stay there than ome back here

Erika Slezak might not be a bad choice - she's a bit hammy but she delivers the drama, and I could see her being a good fit in a darker role.

I just think said actress would seem so out of place bc there are no peers her age to interact with outside of McCook who is barely there as is (and most likely next to go). What Stephanie and Eric have is their history and connections to the characters which keeps them viable even with little to do. A new character, not so much, especially since the show has shifted in a different direction a long time ago. If anything, Id rather see them bump up Pam to account for the loss of Stephanie. Its too bad Patrick Duffy left bc I liked Steven and Pam and wouldnt have minded seeing them in actual stories
