I'm happy with the way Ashley was written out. I applaud Maria for resisting the urge to have her thrown off a cliff by... I dunno... Esther, never to be seen again.

I was in tears watching my Ashley saying goodbye to everybody in Genoa City today. I'm going to miss her! sad.png I think her tears with many of the actors (Stephen Nichols, Marcy Rylan, Eric Braeden, MTS etc) were real. She also seemed to give a little wave to the crew/audience at the end.

I did like her little exit, at least the door is open for a return. And they used good music. She totally did a little wave to the crew/audience and I loved how she looked up the Abbott staircase before she went through the door.

I don't think this is the last we've been of Eileen/Ashley on the show, unless JFP/Griffith don't want her back.

In her recent SOD interview, she made it sound like she was only going to be at DAYS for a short time. She also made it clear that is was Sony who had her transferred from Y&R to DAYS, it wasn't by choice and Maria/Y&R didn't really fire her (in her own words).

Griffith seems to be a fan of hers. He brought her back from B&B several times during the strike.

But was that Griffith or was that Maria, who was also involved during that time?

JFP/Griffith may not have a say in the matter, as Davidson was quite clear in SOD that it was Sony who transferred her between shows, and they could very well do it again.

Griffith was the EP/HW at the time. MAB was only co-HW. It was ultimately Griffith's call.

I know i'm behind (seems to be a problem with me and this show lately...) But i'm watching last Thursday's episode and I was shocked when they actually played that old 80's/90's distorted tinkling cue during the Tim/Phyllis scene in the bookstore (even though they for whatever reason cut off the actual tinkling part)

This is the cue I'm talking about, in the beginning of this video.

As for Eileen I just watched Friday's show and was deeply sad at the little nods she gave with her fellow actors and the audience. I will admit that even though I love her, I would most greatly welcome Brenda Epperson back as Ashley, but unfortunately i doubt JFP would even think about bringing her back...
