I like juice gossip as much as the next, but I'd be careful about ascribing motives to Lauralee and Brad that aren't from reliable and transparent sources. "From what I hear..." doesn't mean much unless you give your sources. It's like you're gleeful fueling a fire that may not have even been started by Lauralee or Brad.

people who give up sources dont keep sources.

this was long before kristina was recast. this was roughly a year ago. they approached her the day Days let her go actually.

Ohelbs absolutely begged Brown to return. Three times, that i know of. When braun left, for claudia. and one other time.

With 323 posts to your name, I'll forgive your ignorance if you're unaware of my contributions to this board, particularly during the WGA strike. I knew things about LML and Y&R that I disclosed on this board ahead of much of the soap press, legit and otherwise.

If I don't know something to be a fact, like Jess Walton's current status, I say it.

And as JackPeyton put so well, anyone who discloses a source loses a source.

Not saying that didn't happen, you're way more knowledgeable than me but wouldn't it make more sense for Lauralee, Brad, Lee to go to Bill Jr and tell him he either has to wife or Sony's going to take over and probably won't like who Sony chooses. Would they really side with Sony and give up creative control like that? I'd think giving up control to Sony would be the last thing the Bells would ever want to do.

The problem is, MAB was the Bell compromise with Sony back when LML was fired. LML was CBS and Sony's idea. When she failed the Bell's made their case for a Bell to helm the show. Sony relented and allowed the Bell's a management deal. That deal has now expired and MAB is gone. She really was their last chance at creative control.

As well, Brad won't have anything to do with Y&R because he has total autonomy at B&B. Lauralee wants to be a stay at home mom, Bill Jr has no creative skill whatsoever and Lee is 84 and was never the major creative force behind the scenes as it is.

Re: the GH debate, I remember the sides on that girl. It was a cousin from the Soleito crime family that originated with Tracy on The City. Garin Wolf was bringing the character in and was big on the Soleito connection. I find it very plausible to believe they would've aged her up for Tamara Braun - which would've been another dumb idea like Claudia Zacchara, as opposed to just bringing her or Sarah Brown back as Carly.

Queen MAB's full delusion has finally been revealed! How can she truly think that?

While I'm glad that changes are being implemented, I really am wary about the fact that Sony will have creative control now. I honestly don't think that a corporation having creative control has ever really been a good thing in the longterm. It seems to me we'll see more of a desecration of the show now. Then again, there's not much left to destroy... although we've all been proven wrong every time we've said that. Who knows?

Is it really that impossible to see Kay Alden back? There's really no other way the show could go back to what it was. After all, Sony's version of betterment was the Hack Bitch From Hell. Who could possibly trust them?

Interesting, thanks. I suppose Kay Alden and Ed Scott are happy on B&B and would rather stay there than go back to Y&R and try to turn around. While MAB needed the boot, I guess I'm worried about Sony have full control and the Bells having none.
