I hope this show gets it together. All I hear is that it's sweet and earnest, but not funny. I need this to really step it up in future episodes because the cast is perfect! Plus, I want this to work out for Linnethia, since I'm such a big fan of hers.

The pilot wasn't very funny. I think I only laughed once or twice, but I do really like the cast and already like many of the characters. Hopefully it improves.

It had some funny moments but there's a real undercurrent of meanness/ugliness through the whole show that I just don't want to bother with.

This is one of those comedies, that aren't actually "laugh out loud" funny, but enjoyable. It's like Modern Family in that way, I never laugh at that show, but I enjoy watching it.

The cast really works well together, I knew going into this though that the main girl would be the weak link...and she is. She and Justin Bartha's character, get eaten alive by the bigger personalities. The same thing happened in Ugly Betty and GCB.

I wish Leslie Grossman's cameo would have actually been a bigger role though, she REALLY needs to be on TV again.

I totally agree. I LOVE her.

Really? This is exactly how I feel with FOX's Ben & Kate and Dakota Johnson as the female lead. She's the weak link and just does not work at all.

Just saw the premiere and loved it! I thought Nene did a great job and Nana reminds me of Lucille from Arrested Development

Loved seeing Mary Cherry again...lol

i actually really enjoyed watching the show. The only problem is, its on NBC aka like all its show lowe ratings and probaly doomed to be canceled. Should have been on CBS.

I just don't find this very funny, despite a good cast. I think it needs a new storyline as well. This gay surrogate storyline leads to too many stereotypes and preaching. Just make it funny already.

Shania is the best part of the show and I like her scenes with Bryan. I've never seen Grey Gardens but her doing that accent was pretty funny. Andrew Rannells reminds me of an older version of Chris Colfer. Hopefully Bryan won't be anything like Kurt on Glee. The worst part of the show is Jane/Ellen Barkin.
