Y&R: Recast in the works

I thought vail Bloom was working out well. She wasn't the worlds greatest but with the right writing, the character and actress could work.

The last thing the show needs is another recast.

They seem to rely on new characters to provide story, which they do initially, then it peters out and the next newbie comes along.

As miscast as Eden Riegel was in the role, Ms. Bloom was not much better. It is funny how quickly people forgot her moniker as "Ms. Hair Model" just as soon as Riegel was cast. It really came off as one of those, "my enemy's enemy is my friend." And we know Riegel has her own sleu of enemies in these parts.

People like myself actually liked Vail and thought she was good for the role. That all went to hell when Riegel was horribly miscast and they took the character in a new direction to destruction

If Bloom is willing to swallow a bitter pill, and reclaim the role I am all for it. I love having long term actors ona show for the sole purpose of being able to use actual flashbacks.

Knowing Y&R, it'll be another AMC vet, like Stephanie Gatschet or the last chick who played Colby.

You're all wrong. It's Julie Kavner. ;)
