Someone I've always found very overrated:

Ted King. I liked him on Loving and GH, but I never thought he was as great as some made him out to be.

I think Ted King worked well on GH because he was so much more attractive than the competition on that show. I actually liked him with both Tamara Braun and Robin Christopher.

To put it plainly none of Lucky's indiscretions mattered once Liz chose to forgive him for sleeping with Sarah and Maxie, and took him back and agreed to stay in a relationship with him in the long haul. Liz immediately became in the wrong once she found out Jason was the father of the child she told Lucky was his, and once she chose not to tell Lucky that she slept with Jason while they were still married. From that point onward Liz was in the wrong because she was LYING TO LUCKY ABOUT THE PATERNITY OF HER SPAWN WITH JASON. How does this not make sense? Lucky came clean with all of his problems and BEGGED Liz for forgiveness for his trespasses while Liz drug him threw the mud for cheating on her, while she acted like she was never cheated in their marriage, while she acted like she was perfect. Then the ho did the same thing with his brother after they just went threw hell with the Jason/Jake lie.

At the end of the day Lucky gets more sympathy from some simply because he tried to rectify the situation, and tried to show Liz he could be faithful and that he could be trusted again, all the while Liz was lying to his face and dreaming about her one night stand with Jason. I won't even get into the Nikolas bit as that was just pure trampery. Lucky gave her endless outs then and she still chose to treat him like garbage.

Liz took Lucky back as soon as he checked himself into rehab and she forgave him as soon as he begged for her forgiveness for the most part. Yet she still chose to lie, emotionally cheat with Jason and then lie about the paternity of Jake, and more. I don't care about the Sarah thing or the Maxie thing though, because Liz forgave Lucky for that long ago. Not to mention the fact that Lucky was addicted to pills so that wasn't his true personality, he was hooked on depressants and had sex with Maxie simply to get pills because he was dependent on them but that's not even the biggest reason why I was on his side. From 06' onward Liz was a disgusting tramp and she treated Lucky like a dog and the way Herbst played the material was dreadful. Liz acted like she was disgusted with Lucky because he wasn't Jason and she acted like she never wanted him to touch her after she slept with Jason. To be honest she deserved all the horrible words Lucky threw at her then. Why? Because everything JJ's Lucky said about her was true.

That's it in a nutshell.

It was all in the fact that JJ played it as a loss, a pained sense of nostalgia and that's why I think he is a great actor. He showed all of the pains of the past Lucky's but was true to the first version of Lucky who first fell in love with Liz and how her actions have completely ruined everything they had and his image of what they represented to eachother. She defiled the memory he has of her and their memory of eachother. It was an amazing scene.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating - that scene is a perfect example of JJ's powerful acting. The fact that a confrontation scene about a faithless fiancee can also be used as a metaphor on how badly this show has devolved since JJ's last tenure is why I believe that Jonathan Jackson deserves every bit of the praise and accolades that he has received over the years.

Few other actors that are currently on General Hospital can inspire such strong feelings with a standard soapy scene like this.

A woman forgive a man sin all should be forgotten, a man forgave a woman sin it should be mention every 5 minute. How fantastic. Why don't we have an ignore button?

Liz is one of those characters who was painted into a corner and was never given an opportunity to get out. The fact that the only exists she's ever been offered have been through a man didn't do her any favours either. But the biggest mistake with Liz was making her a mother of all those kids. I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing ruins a character faster than making them a mother.

I couldn't agree more and am saddened at the waste of enormous potential that Liz Webber had upon her debut 15 years ago. That's really what it comes down to for me.

Katherine Kelly Lang. I don't get why people are upset when she doesn't get nominate for an Emmy. Speaking of Emmy I think the Daytime Emmys (all awards shows) are overrated. The best doesn't wins, it all politics

I agree. It's especially powerful for that exact reason. You can see how much it hurts him to say these things that he has come to realize about her. I wouldn't say JJ is an incomparable actor, but surely his caliber actor on a soap is a rarity. He was hands down one of the best actors GH has had in years and he deserves all four of his Emmy's for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer. Those words and his loss of his belief in the only love he thought was true was visceral and he played all of the pangs, hurts and beats for everything that they were worth. Doesn't get enough credit on here - if anything - in my opinion.

I think it was the writing more than any performance. I would remember any character who said he only cared about a woman when she was raped and bleeding in the snow. If anything I think JJ gave the same type of performance in too many scenes.

If a man actually said that to a woman, she would never forgive him.

On GH, he could say that to her every day and she would be expected to act like it's no big deal.

I always wanted her to cut him loose finally and with no looking back. Maybe give his funny looking kid back to him so she doesn't have that to bind her to him.

A poster upthread talked about Elizabeth having all those kids. That was the actress' punishment for getting pregnant. With Elizabeth, worse than having multiple children is that big overgrown one named Lucky Spencer. That guy has been her albatross for years.

I think we were supposed to cheer that remark, as we were supposed to cheer him repeatedly abandoning his children, as it meant he was like Luke now.

I have never been a Liz fan, but I think she was probably the best chance JJ had of being more than a primally screamed, red-eyed ode to Luke and Laura nostalgia. Instead, the show ran from the relationship, and JJ ran from the show.

This is General Hospital, if anything Liz having all of those children was a sign that Guza loved her character. The only other woman who birthed as many children as Liz under him was Carly, she is considered to be a highly regarded character in Guza world. If anything not having a child on GH means the head writers didn't give a damn about them (Sam McCall).

Thanks for the translation. I often get lost while watching GH because I'm sure I'm not supposed to react the way I do.

I tend to think in terms of "why is this homely guy acting so entitled?" I'm sure the men who write this mess don't see life the same way I do.
