Babe was no good girl.

No, she was a girl who was good, if you know what I mean. ;)

Yeah GH did a big WTF when they threw away Lucky and Robin. Those were the last two characters on the show who could have anchored PC and brought the show in a new direction sans mob. They should have been leads as they were both legacy characters from legacy families.

Not only that, but it would've been a lovely continuation to the Robert & Luke bromance that many old-school viewers knew and loved. Robin and Lucky being the GH leads would've ensured that the show kept its heart intact.

If yiou want to be technical, Jason is a Quartermaine and Carly is a Spencer

I always thought had Guza not come on they would have continued with Carly and AJ which has better potential than Carly and the mob. Sean Kanaan and Sarah Brown were both powerful actors at the time and had better lead potential and had great chemistry. It could have kept the Q's as a viable family outside of Jason.

I always thought that the reason AJ Carly were dropped was because AJ was recast with Billy Warlock and he didn't have the same chemistry with Brown.

There are a couple of problems with this. Lucky and Robin's portrayers both wanted to leave; GH did not throw them away.

"Legacy" on GH pre-dates the 80s. GH had been on the air for years before their families were introduced. I don't view either the Scorpios or the Spencers as legacy families on GH.

The fact that the latter are considered to be "legacy characters" (even though I believe that is a go-to excuse for those who refuse to acknowledge the fact that the legendary characters were done dirty) despite neither have the heart and/or soul of the former pretty much proves my point.

It wouldn't have been with Sean Kanan AJ since he got fired for alcoholism.

Shick and Shadam could also be added to that list.

But Likey? Really? I thought they were universally liked.

Oh yeah I forgot about that. He was 100 times better as AJ who was a far more flawed and complex character than Jason.

AJ needed a solid actor. I can't blame GH for firing an alcoholic actor, no matter how talented. It's a nightmare to work around someone who might not show up for work and who might not be in any condition to work when he got there.

I like Billy Warlock, so it's not about that. I never thought he was a good choice for AJ. It was another case where a show changed its writing for a character to work with the limitations of an actor.

I agree about BW, and SK would agree with you. He agreed that he should have been fired. The heavy drinking and the drama. He went over to CBS and landed in the middle of a paternity suit. SK was a mess for a long time!

Not sure how anyone feels about this, but there is no way in Hades I would have cast a corpse like Emily Van Camp as the lead in a show like revenge. No way!
