B&B Rumors - Cast Changes Coming!

I found this on the CBS boards but the OP didnt link the original site so Im listing it as rumor until I see confirmation

In November 2011, Bradley Bell announced that the there would be changes to the show's current characters in 2012, with several characters and cast members receiving storyline-dedicated exits and several famous characters of the show's golden age in the mid-1990's returning. It first began when Patrick Duffy decided to leave his role of Stephen Logan in order to return to TNT' s new version of Dallas. Bell then decided the role would not be reacted but instead got the idea of changing the show in a dramatic way. Bobbie Eakes was offered to return the show in a guest appearance reprising the role of Macy for a handful of episodes in November and December in which Macy appeared in visions/flashbacks with Thorne while he dated Taylor. As part of the show's new direction, Bell let go cast members who characters received lack of storyline or been in the back burner such as Brandon Beemer as Owen Knight, Ally Mills as Pamela Douglas, and Aaron D. Spears as Justin Barber, who have already or scheduled to receive storyline dedicated exits in the near future. Bell then decided to bring back Sean Kanan as Deacon Sharpe and Barbara Crampton as Maggie Forrester, who were one of many major characters on the show in the mid-1990's to early-2000's, and in addition, Maitland Ward as Jessica Forrester and Dylan Neal as Dylan Shaw were also offered to return to the show in early 2012, in which they excepted. In a interview with Oliva Wilde, Maitland expressed a desire to revisit the character if ask to return. Bell had also brought back veteran soap actor, Jacob Young as Rick Forrester in September 2011 who finished up on ABC's now defuct soap, All My Children

The main thing that makes this all iffy is the Bobbie Eakes bit. It doesnt say that she declined the offer which one would have to assume considering November has passed and she hasnt made any appearances. I also cant see Jessica or Dylan returning as she is redundant with Bridget around (who needs a story) and he with Deacon (if he does in fact come back)

Owen already feels gone as does Justin. I didnt realize that Stephen was in fact gone but that makes sense considering the Dallas revival. I hope Pam isnt a goner soon as well

Pam exits? WTH?! [/Whoopi Goldberg]

I wouldn't call the mid-'90's a "golden age" for B&B. And even if I would, Dylan Neal and Maitland Ward? Really?

I don't know, this seems weird. Fake maybe even.

Justin has already been removed from the cast list, but both Pam and Owen have stuff coming up this week.

"Odd"? Try "nucking futs".

I'm mad on count one, this person was trying to write "recasted" (not a word!), and on count two, they typo'd "reacted" instead.

Today is day one of my B&B watching so I find this interesting nonetheless.

Don't forget "excepted." I take particular exception to that one.

Pam?! Nooooooooooooooo! :o

I am sorry to see Aaron Spears might be gone, too -- he had a lot of potential and great chemistry with everybody. If they really want to unload the dead weight, look no further than Donna. Marcus. Nick. Yeah, I went there.

This is sacrilege but -- I haven't missed Bobbie Eakes since she left. Darlene Conley, OTOH? Missing her like crazy.

Deacon would be a welcome return as, like Steffy, he really stirs the pot. But Maggie (God bless her)? How many 40-something blondes do we need on the show? And Jessica & Dylan? Seriously?

I hope most of these are rumors. These sound like terrible casting decisions. (Minus Macy and Deacon returning,) and though i believe the show needs to shed some of its actors too, I can't stand the way he is calling them "storyline dedicated exits" That is soooo something Brad Bell would think of and it already sucks... Why let go Pam???

I guess some of these changes have to do with the shows 25th anniversary coming in March. I hope this is all cleared up before then.

I love Barbara Crampton though...I'd welcome a return from her.

I like Barbara Crampton but they ran out of ideas for Maggie some time before they wrote her out. Unless they made Maggie a very different character then there's nothing they could do with her.

They'd probably bring Maggie back to try and make Nick happen. I can see her being flung into the Jackie M clan
