Members JackPeyton
Also, Ali Sweeney played that scene during the montage to perfection. She rarely does subtle, but she was so good. Actually this entire episode and the past few weeks shes stepped it up.
Members Antoyne
I honestly feel like a lot of the cast has stepped it up recently and now it feels like things are going somewhere. I think Chandler's recent awesomeness just shows how wasted he's been. I really do hope there's some Grandma Kate interaction thrown in.
Members skiman12082004
DAYS was awesome today. I think things have finally starting meshing and I like what MM and DRT are doing with the show. Chandler Massey was great today and I am loving his story. I haven't been this excited about DAYS in forever.
Members Cheap21
my god, Austin and Carrie are so irrelevant...why are they here? I hate all the fighting and making up. There seems to be nothing here for them as a married couple. I almost wish they had returned divorced Madison going off on Sami was a bit over the top. Did it almost come across as if Roman was hitting on her? Yuck! Roman warning Madison against Stefano...that was so random consiering Madison has had nothing to with Stefano. She better not be another long lost kid of his but I wouldnt doubt that I hated Kate's gloves today. Awful.
Members Soapsuds
Why the hell did they play that awful music during Will's trashing Maggie's house?...UGH...it just killed the moment!
Administrator Toups Posted December 2, 2011 Administrator Share Posted December 2, 2011 Chandler was so good today. He really should be this show's next young big star. Loved the ending of the montage with Will going crazy, Sonny/Chad rushing in to stop Will, making Will sit down, and Melanie going over to comfort a crying Gabi. Administrator Toups Posted December 2, 2011 Administrator Share Posted December 2, 2011 I loved that line. I also like the Gabi/Will scenes. I thought today was a Richard Culliton day but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a Lacey Dyer day - I've been really impressed this newcomer. Administrator Toups Posted December 2, 2011 Administrator Share Posted December 2, 2011 A bit but not too much. LOL It didn't ruin the teen part of the montage.
Members DaytimeFan
Line of the week as far as I'm concerned. Kate Dimera for the win. This week was SUCH an improvement, though the scenes involving Abby and Patrick 'Crypt Keeper' Muldoon are beyond gross, Austin Peck would make more logical sense. Chandler Massey's the MVP of the show. He has an almost manic energy to Will's emotions. It's almost like Will is grieving, grieving the mother he no longer respects and the identity that he's lost. I do hope they weave Kate into Will's story, although I think he's dynamite with Marlena and Diedre Hall is at her absolute best when she's in scenes with him, Kate is the more natural fit to be Will's fiercest defender. We need more Lexie, more Nicole, more Chad and more Sonny.
Members AllMyDaysatGH
Sami, Carrie, Lexie and Jennifer forming a "breakfast club"? Was DAYS kidding me with that? What a JOKE! I understand them being civil with each other but suddenly being all buddy buddy and forming a BFF group? Considering all of the twisted history those women (mainly Carrie & Lexie) have with Sami? I found those scenes pretty forced and embarrasing. Sami should not have been apart of that IMO. Booo to Paint and Dry AKA Carrie and Austin deciding to stay in Salem. Major kudo's to Chandler Massey of course...and Camila Banus as well. I thought she did great on Friday to. The problem is she has given little to no personality to Gabi at all...i almost felt nothing for the girl even though CB was giving it her all in the acting department. Were they kidding me with that generic stock music montage at the end? That TOTALLY killed it. If they wanted a montage they should've left the Will/Gabi stuff out of it at least! Come on! Those scenes looked intense and I would've liked to actually hear what was going on. I really hope on Monday they play that whole scene back - without the music! Members quartermainefan
Chandler Massey did a decent job with that scene. I am not a fan of montages though, so I wish it wasn't set to one. I wish Kate would drop the whole Kate DiMera shtick, because her karate champion business partner should be just the kind of guy Kate is getting into her bed. Members Soapsuds
Thank you! Let's hope they air those scenes again on Monday without the awful montage but I doubt it.
Members DRW50
Montages are usually done because a show can't come up with an idea. Generally that's how some of these stories come across to me anyway - a vague idea and then great difficulty making it work. Years and years later I'm still annoyed that Nadine Cooper's family learning of her death was done via montage.
Members Soapsuds
I've also have thought the same way. The people in charge don't know what to do with a particular scene. There was no need for that montage. There should have been actual dialogue not stupid music.
