Y&R's latest stunt...Have a Character Named after You!

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to have a character named after you? A new auction open on CharityBuzz just may give THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS fans the chance to find out!

Details of the character will be left up to the discretion of the Y&R production staff, but the winning bidder will get to watch their namesake in action as the show is taped, then get a tour of the set hosted by Greg Rikaart (Kevin)! Bidding on this item is open through Wednesday, November 2, at CharityBuzz.com. Proceeds for this auction will benefit GLSEN -- the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students.

Oh lord, I'd be so embarassed to have a character created by the current writing team have my name... Particularly since Eric Henwood-Greer isn't exactly a common name...

I'm very happy they are going to donate the proceeds to GLSEN. Given how anti-gay daytime is, especially Y&R, that's a surprise.

you'd (anyone that won) would probably just be an old friend of Yolanda. Some crack addicted prostitute who strolls into town looking for money

At least it is a charity stunt and not just a ratings stunt.

Rafe: Hi! This is the first time I have seen you here. Are you new in Geona City?

Eric: Yeah, I'm new in town...name is Eric Henwood Greer.

Rafe: Ah ...nice to meet you...I'm Rafe. Want to go out for coffee??

Eric: Sure

I would've been excited about this & willing to do it if it were any other soap...visiting the Y&R set right now does not sound exciting to me LOL sorry.

Imagine if someone named Drucilla got the highest bid. LOL tongue.pngph34r.png

If you go on the right day Y&R is probably a lot of fun to visit - imagine the ugly fights. Just don't go on the day that Michael Muhney is there to explain how great MAB is.

Had this been ten years ago......hell my name would probably be used for Sharon's new man or something like that or Chloe's long lost ex.
