I agree, Angela! Out of the suggestions, Driscoll and Duhon are the ones that I really think have a chance in the role.

I think I would go with Duhon though. Driscoll is a little too boyish.

JR is an angry character! At least, right now. And Duhon can play soft well. He had some nice, tender moments on GH.

That's what it is. I was trying to figure out why he left me feeling at odds but I couldn't place it. There just seems to be so much veiled violence within him which I just don't think JR needs for the reboot. JR needs some soft edges and needs to be at least a little bit tempered and reticence to work. I just don't think he is a soft enough actor. I think my ideal person for the job would be Jesse Soffer because I think he can pull off the duality to the point where he could bring the hard and softness out of JR. I think Driscoll is too soft and Duhon is too hard.

Which Duhon could play brilliantly. I just don't ever see Driscoll playing bad-boy. He's a sexy, goodboy type. It would be a VAST difference. He could make it work, but it would be very very different.
