I thought it was just old cowboy machismo with Cord/Tina. Cord had a real boyishness and aw shucks nature in his first few years in Llanview which always balanced Tina (and Kate) well. I think he did mature after a while, although it wasn't until his 1993 return that most of the life started to be drained from him.

I detest Tina. Her type of shallow, money grubbing, scamming TWIT of a female is a stereotype I wish soaps would retire.

I felt like Tina - Andrea and Karen anyway - always had a lot of heart, which you don't have with today's golddiggers. For instance, Gabrielle and Tina were both very selfish but they wouldn't have both been perfectly fine with killing an unborn child, which both Kim and Stacy were.
