I suspect Demi Moore was a case of wrong place, wrong time and wrong condition. Gloria Monty always had an eye for emerging raw talent, and Demi was definitely that. But she was coming on the heels of LNL with Tony, and she was also nowhere near ready to play opposite Tristan Rogers. She also already had major issues with alcohol, etc. from a young age by her own admission in recent years via her memoir (and of course the BTS video that now lives in infamy). That could not have helped with her scene partners. IIRC she still allegedly had major issues a few years later when she broke out on St. Elmo's Fire.

I don’t think it helped that she got there in a time period where the show was not particularly well written, and was being kept afloat on the charisma of the talented cast more than actual stories. Plus Monty was on some kind of medical leave in early 1982 and losing Laura had cost them millions of viewers.

Jackie Templeton and her sister were kind of DOA and never fully recovered. Compare that to Holly’s arrival not long after, and you can see a stronger storytelling focus is there, even if the show is still not as good as it was in the writing from 78-81.

Tiffany was a great character and I wish Sharon Wyatt felt camera comfortable because I can think of many places she would fit today as a recurring player.

Someone else will know better but I think Tiffany was introduced as a spoiled actress, like one from a '30s screwball comedy. At worst she was probably naughty. Later on she would get nastier or tough at times, when she was fighting for what she loved (like her nephew), but she was mostly broken and needy.

If Sharon Wyatt was available and the show wanted to explore it, Tiffany's past could be as potent as Bobbie's. She was always depicted as a former actress who never really made it big, but intimately knew wealthy men. In short, Tiffany was awfully close to what we'd now call a yacht girl.

Meeting Tiffany is one of the best parts of the Ice Princess story. She was Victor Cassadine’s arm candy, and she ends up helping Luke, Laura, and Robert when she realizes how dangerous Mikkos and his family are. She and Laura become very close too, she’s Lulu’s godmother.

I wish Sharon Wyatt could appear again to usher on an Annie Donely for the PCPD/WSB (presumably Caitlin Reilly, a popular influencer, will not reprise the role so they'd need to find a third actor). But I understand why she doesn't wish to appear on camera. How they handled her for Sean's memorial was lovely.
