That's great.

I knew I wasn't the only person who thought Braden looks like Burt Reynolds. He also looks like Tom Selick too.

I started watching again, just because I like whodunnit's on soaps, no matter how silly they are. I've been watching a few weeks worth to get caught up a little.

Whatever I watch, I always noticed the small things. One of the envelopes in the police station had Walworth County printed on it, which is where the actual village of Genoa City is.

Diane filed that alienation of affections suit against Nikki, but that law has been off the books in most states for years, only NC and MS still have it. I will bet anything that the writing team got the idea from when Fantasia Barrino had a lawsuit like that filed against her amidst all her problems.

I'm hoping for a good twist in this story, but am not hopeful. From the clips I've seen Maura West was very good at playing the role of Diane, even if she wasn't the right fit age wise.

Back to AMC. This show is just ludicrous and no matter how hot Jeff Branson is, I hate the character of Ronan and how he treats his mother.

You're supposed to see Nina as a loser and get hot when he snarks at Adam.

I know many would hate it, but I'm hoping that he's a fraud.

I find Adam repulsive too but Ronan snarking at him is not exactly rootworthy soap.

What purpose does this character actually serve? Chance was kind of boring but at least he

served a purpose on this show.

His purpose is to be a dead-eyed asswipe who keeps women in their place and hates everyone. That is the ideal man in Shefferland, and as long as his scenes are full of degradation and bitter one-liners, people will go on about how hot and fun they are.

I still have zero idea why they had him in the Nina story in the first place. Other than him dumping Chloe like the rotting corpse that she is, and making topless snow angels with Heather.

Hey everybody! Have ya missed me? :P So I still have no computer access but decided to post from my blackberry (obviously I have something to say). I started watching Y&R again for my Maura's final episodes and I hate to say it, but aside from the Cane/Lily mess, the show actually has gotten a lot better.

First off, I'd be remiss if I didn't say that Maura really grew into the character of Diane and the writing and acting was FINALLY gelling for her character. And then they dump her! I still say it's a HUGE mistake to kill off a fabulous character with such rich history with half the canvas. What is it with Y&R and killing off my favorite characters AND having their bodies found face up in the water? First Brad, now Diane. It sickens me that this regime didn't utilize Maura and Diane to their full potential until they planned on killing her off. So. Dumb.

But I will say that I am enjoying the fallout of it. I like that much of the story is centered on Kyle. I've loved Garret Ryan and Kyle from jump and think he's doing some fine work right now. I actually find all the suspects, lies, hidden clues, secret connections, and odd character interactions (like Nick/Ashley) very interesting and entertaining. My only possible issue is that TPTB haven't mapped out this story to its conclusion and we'll end up with another made up as we go along murder mystery. I hope that's not the case, as it doesn't seem that way, but with the current Y&R, you just never know. In any event, I'm watching again and hope the high quality lasts.

What do you think of the other stories, like the Bacteria marriage woes, and Fluckers the mouthbreather being persecuted by Katherine?

I have a few Santa Barbara things I'm going to try to post soon, although you've probably already seen them.

I like your positive outlook. I think this murder mystery is all flash and no substance. THe motives considering Diane's history are stupid as hell.Ashley protecting Abby might be the only believable motive and even then I could never imagine Ashley bludgeoning anyone. I mean what is Nick's motive? Because of Diane releasing the tape of Victor and Nikki? Or Phyllis. I feel some of these motives contrived just to add more suspects and we all know none of these people will turn out to be the murderer. But the kid who plays Kyle IA has been the one saving grace. He's been amazing.

Let MAB bring back David Chow in the form of VI. He can be the murderer. It makes about as much sense as the rest.

But you do realize if they weren't writing out Diane, MW would likely have not gotten any of the material she got her last 6 weeks. It happens with every actor on their way out.

I have to believe there is more to the story. I just don't believe he took his brother's liver, left, and has no reason for keeping Nina at arms length. I bet he is either still dying, or has reason to believe he is a danger to Nina.

Kyle really is the saving grace of this storyline...I felt a lump in my throat as he walked into the hotel room.

He's hiding something, atleast that's what JB conveyed in that Ronan/Nina scene imo. It won't amount to sh!t though with these writers. This show is ultimately all about men who treat the women in their lives like crap and how the women love them anyway.

Malcolm, Sofia, & the rest of the black actors aren't getting that much. They probably make just enough for them not to live in the middle class black neighborhood. So, them cutting out the black actors isn't going to make a dent in Y&R to pay Jill & Katherine protrayer. The problem is that Y&R doesn't want to write for anybody else that are not in Phylis, Sharon, Victor, or Adam storyline.

They are getting NADA where's Malcom and the WTD storyline its gone POOF!

I find Adam repulsive too but Ronan snarking at him is not exactly rootworthy soap.
