Inside Job, the doc about the U.S. bank collapse in 2008. Fascinating and it really explains it well for anyone who knows what happened was BAD, but couldn't exactly connect all the dots as to why and what made it so bad.

I had never seen The Big Lebowski until yesterday. Fun stuff. It'll take re-watches to get all the symbolism.

Since I still have a working VCR, VHS copy of Upstairs, Downstairs (season 5) episode, Laugh a Little Louder Please. Very dark episode. Very good episode about life, expectations, and post-World War I emotional extremes in the younger generation.

I just re-watched Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell the other night. I laughed just as hard as I did when I first saw it years ago.

Highly recommmended comedy for those who haven't seen it yet.

    • Addie was just a presence she was talking to... till December 22, 1991. At least that's how I've noted it to myself months ago.
    • Considering his family was involved with Mike Horton in the past, I feel like they'll make him Mike's son and Jeremy's half-brother. Just my guess, and unfortunately it makes me wonder if we're in for another Charlie / Tripp situation where it'll end up being a case of mistaken identity. Just my gut feeling and not based on spoilers.
    • With the recent Kate Mansi directing going on at GH, I was wondering what other performers also did double duty on their shows? I guess we could also talk about folks like James Hougton that wrote for Bell shows after he appeared in them (he did do double duty on Knots though). Off the top of my head I think Marie Masters wrote at ATWT while also playing Susan, Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t she do more than scripts too? Did Gillian Spencer appear on AMC as Daisy while writing there? Susan Flannery probably stayed at B&B so long because she got to direct there too. Tony Geary and his writing partner submitted stories for Luke and Laura’s return and the Endgame Cassadine one that he later said was none of what they planned. But that’s not the same as writing for the whole show, or directing. Apologies if there is another thread about this topic, I couldn’t find it!

Good! I wish the bish was aborted too!
    • Unfortunately, @Vee will never achieve the success of JFP. She’s got 11 Emmys. Remind me how many Emmys you have?
    • Since Mansi did direct, I think it puts the lie to those who say Frank V doesn't like her and would like to get rid of her.
    • Whew Kat went to hell with that last line lol.   Colby and Ambyr are so great as rivals

date: Wednesday, November 19, 2025 | Ron Carlivati, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Michael V. Pomarico Not Dana letting Vernon know that she is aware of his presence at the Bowman. No bueno. She cannot handle keeping things to herself for a period of time. Spoilt bitch, no offence, but I cannot stand you. You are getting everything you deserve. I like that Ted is not willing to take sides in Eva's battle with her sister. That is smart. As much of a problem as I have had with Martin since day one, I appreciate him seeing Eva as she is: his sister. So refreshing. Not Anita overhearing Dana and Vernon's conversation. How unfortunate. I love how happy Martin is for Eva. That is what a sibling does! And speak on it: the spoilt bitch needs to shut her trap before someone (Eva) shuts it for her. Aw, how cute is it that Andre and Dani are re-exchanging vows? Just a shame it will not last when Dani goes back to Bill and Andre goes to Ashley. And he said the four-letter word! Eva and Martin's banter is so cute; I love that she offered to talk to Samantha, whom she formed a bond with at one point in time doing her hair. And her face when the spoilt bitch made her presence known is how I feel whenever she shows up, opens her mouth, and acts like she is God's gift to the DMV. "Well, not anymore," get her, Eva. GET HER! Yesssssss. Anita has a vivid imagination? Ooh-la-wee! Anita, let us in on it. Please. Why do I feel like Dana is not talking to Ted about Peaches but about what Vernon is [supposedly] doing with Sharon? Hmm. Wow... I am surprised. It IS about Peaches. Colour me surprised. Ooh! I am so happy that Martin overheard the spoilt bitch wish Dana had "gotten rid" of Eva. Let her have it, sir! DO IT! Notes: Right when I thought I would catch a break after writer2 yesterday, today we are stuck with the writer. At least, like Danielle Paige yesterday, we have one of this soap's best scriptwriters (Brown) writing. I am sorry, but this soap's take on half-siblings or even step-siblings is very off-putting, as if they are less than full-blooded siblings, when in reality they are as special and important. The food at Uptown definitely rivals Orphey Gene's; it does look absolutely delicious and comforting. Sean Freeman (Andre) showed up today with the emotional pull. I knew he had it in him, and it is beautiful to see at the hands of Brown's scripted words.
