I keep going back to the question of where are we supposed to watch these shows. If they are just dumping them on Hulu then flop becomes a relative term since that is pretty much a graveyard for all of NBC's flops. I think you can still find episodes of The Cape. If they're launching their own channel then they'll take all the content they can get.

The time issue is an important one IF they intend to go live with these shows in September. Again that's just more unsubstantiated "buzz." My only real problem with all of this is that the focus/fixation on the AMC 2.0 might have short-circuited any other possible returns either because the actors involved no longer think there's a point or because they don't want to deal with the speculation and questions that they might be coming on for the new show. I've still been hoping for news of Adam, Brooke and/or Reggie. Now I don't think we'll get it. On the glass half full side, at least we got a bunch of really great returns lined up before the chaos broke

Marceline, I agree completely with your points. From the initial press release or whatever, it sounded like PP were using this to launch their own online viewer/network thing, so that's been my assumption. I'm still completely worried Canadians won't get access to it, we don't with Hulu although there are fairly easy ways to get around that, so it's not too bad...

That was my assumption too but if that's the case, then it doesn't make sense to rush unless there's some deadline involved with the funding. A completely new online channel will need significant promotion and a hell of a lot of content that appeals to a broad audience. Royal Pains, Wilfred, AMC and OLTL hardly fits that bill, especially since Royal Pains and Wilfred are currently showing on "real" cable networks and Hulu while the soaps are canceled shows. If this new online thing is a subscription channel, then that's even more reason not to rush. I'm one of the few people who pays for Hulu and I mainly did for two reasons: Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Quantum Leap.
