Did AW fans use to complain when Joey on Friends, in New York would act on Days Of Our Lives? (I'm sure they did...)

It's not really the same though is it? I'm not complaining (in fact this is nothing but an academic debate really) because I'm an OLTL fan. I'm just saying that I think their little wink to soap fans turned out lame because Nathan Fillion was a OLTL actor. If he had been an AMC actor and they used OLTL stars, it would have been equally weak.

And it's true that I'm not the least but "grateful" about the title of the episode or anything else about it. Just like I'm not grateful when I go to the store and they have the brand of peanut butter I want to buy. I'm the customer. They either give me what I want or I take my business elsewhere. Gratitude does not play a part, just like sentiment doesn't play a part for network executives.

To be honest do you think AMC fans were grateful for RB and CM appearing on CAstle. As one I could tell you I really could care less and I don't think this was about Frons pimping AMC it was about pimping his 2 fave actors in ABC Daytime. If it was about pimping his fave show it would have been 2 actors from GH. Be grateful he didn't pick anyone from OLTL because if he did it likely would have been JPL and FF

Was AW even on the air when that happened? I thought Joey was on Days somewhere around 2001 or 2002???

Joey On Friends Had Two stints On days. The First was Like In 1996 and the second around 2001-02

So Yes AW was around during Joey's first Days stint

I hope not. My point is that we don't have to be grateful when the entertainment industry throws us any sort of bone. We are the customers. It's their job to please us in order to get our business. If they don't, we should take our business elsewhere. Obviously, many of us already have.

Oh ok. Well the first time was around the Possession and Days being the talk of daytime so I could see why they did that. I doubt AW fans cared, its just AMC/OLTL fans argue over the most petty things.

I forgot CM/RB were even on Castle.

Well I dont even know why it was done. If it was intended to be some sort of cross promotional opportunity for either show it failed miserably. I never understood the rationale in the first place.

As Marceline said, it was meant to be clever. A wink to the audience because of NF's soap roots. Promotion had nothing to do with it. I imagine 'they" already knew that AMC and OLTL were going to be canceled by the time that episode happened anyway.

I think (i read the usenet groups a bit back then) some fans did complain--mainly cuz they said AW needed more promotion (fair enough) and actually filmed where Friends was set (though not shot) but Days had much more random name appeal back then and the actors worked in the same town.

It's true though AMC/OLTL fans have really been pitted up against each other (even though many of us watch both shows...) If it makes people feel better Roseanne had GH and OLTL cameos but not AMC lol (but I think that was just cuz she watched those shows and had final say...)

Another Alicia Minshew interview, she point blank says she's moving on

http://www.hollywood...-minshew-236540

What a great, insightful interview...love the way she described Kendall. She's clearly ready to move on but is still open to making appearances on AMC. Hopefully PP sees and adheres to that. I hope Kendall isn't killed off...

Interesting comments she made about cast members who really want to stay with AMC

Also what she said about SL on the last day makes me SO freaking sad...

I am really excited that PP sees what an asset FV really is. He has kept OLTL under budget for years and I think he will help AMC tremendously to run more efficiently. Hopefully PP with FV will find a common ground with Susan Lucci and she will stay with the show. Yes, she rejected the first offer but who's to say she won't accept the next offer?

Well, blame that on NBC. Marta Kauffman said that they had originally intended on Joey getting a job on One Life to Live, ironically enough.

Since Minshew doesn't want to continue, I'd get a major name as a Kendall recast. Especially if Erica isn't there (but I think she will be), they need Bianca and Kendall around.

AMC CASTING SHOCKER!!! Eden Riegel returns as Bianca as Christina Bennett Lind is named the new Kendall!
