It's odd the PP hasn't been in contact with the actors. I understand they want to secure SL however if indeed SL is playing hardball with them then she is one smart cookie because PP come off as desperate to ge hert which they probably are and rightfully so but you don't put all your eggs in one basket and if you do, you don't let it be known.

It sounds like JY who was being lambasted in places did the right thing and regardless of all Y&R's crap Debbi took the paycheck, If things go south she's a strong enough actress to overcome it so no loss IMO. Proves the "insider" on the other board was probably correct that PP doesn't feel they have a chance in hell of landing a cable deal without her name. Its a shame AMC has been so gutted that she's the only real marketable asset they have for that show as its structured now. Maybe they should table it or retool it as a new soap "Return to Pine Valley" or something similar.

Personally I have no idea who leaked the information but if it was PP it backfired, I see more people on Luccis side and very few "blaming" her if AMC doesnt go forward at this time

Does anyone here watch crackle, I'm wondering if PP is going to be anything like that because although it is free there are a lot of commercials same with Hulu Plus. The only non-commercial site I know of is Netflix and with them changing subscription fees I wonder how their streaming is going to do.

It's nice learning which actors are signing but I am more interested in learning about their format, which devices, cost, etc. I do hope they pick up AMC it is going to be a hard sell for a startup company with only one product.

That's one reason I still have hope for AMC (and the fact they seem to have already invested money in it--as well as a lot of fan's good will)--that it seems to me it'd be easier for them to launch the two side by side, than just one show/ But I also am more interested to hear the other details.

I can't imagine that AMC will not debut along side OLTL whenever PP decides to announce when that will be. I do find if very curious though that none of the actors from AMC with the exception of Susan Lucci have been contacted and that only 4 OLTL actors have agreed to continue. Between the 2 cast there are about 50+ actors but only four have signed on? I find that very odd.

OLTL has only announced 4 actors, but we do know that they are at least asking OLTL actors. With AMC they haven't asked anyone except Lucci. Clearly something is going on behind the scenes.

I'm wondering if PP will keep AMC and OLTL identities or if they will eventually connect the characters and have them do crossovers.

I would assume from a promotional standpoint PP would promote the shows as a package deal and possibly do a crossover story at some point. But what do I know LOL I just keep hoping and guessing that we will finally get confirmation about something.

It's not so much Y&R's crap as they have a history of misusing and dumping any actor they hire. I think she probably made the right decision to not wait for PP but I can't say "Good for her for going to a show that's going to treat her like crap and make people think she's a bad actress," although I realize in this economy it's smart to take what you can. For me it was never that she was wrong to not wait for PP, it was - anyone who joins Y&R has a bad experience.
