Not a popular opinion, just make take - but the more money/less work/development deal seems a bit of "arrogance and ignorance" to me. If she wants to move on, awesome, I think she should be her take on the venture in recent interviews and these demands to me is a bit like a Frons move to me

From Deadline's report: "The offer was for a salary identical to what Lucci currently makes at ABC but I’ve learned that she tried to gouge the producers for more money while also asking to work fewer hours and get a commitment for a primetime series."

More money for less hours - that's where I'm not on Lucci's side.

Do people forget this woman has taken paycuts over the years when many weren't like Tony Geary by the way. So what if she wants more money now. Forget she has stuck with the show for 41 years. All Geary did was take more time off, same money but that is somehow acceptable that he gets the same money for less time but not her.

I said before if they need Susan Lucci for this venture and they want to move forward with her give her what she wants otherwise move on. And if they feel they can't make the show work without her IMO they weren't that committed to begin with.

SOD is reporting they've heard the same

While Prospect Park has snagged its first online cast members for OLTL, the outlook is a little less bright on the AMC front, according to Hollywood blog Deadline.com. The blog reports that Susan Lucci (Erica) has declined PP's offer to move to the Web, and that the sticking point was not salary (she would have received the same compensation as she did at ABC) but other perks, including shorter hours and a prime-time development deal. Digest has heard similar rumblings from sources close to Lucci about the negotiating stumbling blocks between the actress and her would-be new bosses.

Her demands were unrealistic but I think she was right to ask for some sort of prime time angle. They need her, she needs them. There should have been a way to make this work with some sort of development deal for a pilot or something. I do think they will be right to drop AMC without Lucci. Susan Lucci is AMC, AMC is Erica, and without her the show is not AMC. That might be hard for non-fans to accept, but it is the truth.

All I know is that if PP lets this become about Susan Lucci then they're hurting themselves. People know Susan Lucci - they don't know PP. I am going to assume that they aren't behind any pressure tactics, because that would be stupid. Susan Lucci can continue to make a decent living out of being Susan Lucci and even being Erica Kane, no matter what happens with AMC (look at Joan Collins and Alexis). Goading her or baiting her does no good whatsoever.
